If the DREAM Act kids tug at Brewer’s heart, then she ought to quit denying them a driver’s license

The Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has been viewed as our type of “Alabama Governor George Wallace” of the 21st century since she signed the draconian SB 1070 anti-immigrant law without a wavering hand.
It seems she is getting no love from the Mexican-American community in Arizona (see below), and more than likely her legacy will be to the tune of being the SB 1070 governor by many Mexican-Americans in the southwest.
Now she is changing her populist tune and claims the DREAM Act kids tug at her heart, however, Immigration Lawyer and Leader via Jose Penalosa thinks actions speak louder than words. If you are wondering and confused with regard to the change in the immigration tune coming from the GOP, Senator John McCain puts it simply when he said: “…that elections have consequences…” [Yet, to my knowledge the RNC still has not reversed their anti-immigrant platform.]
Jose Penalosa states:
I really want to believe that the Dream Act kids tug at her heart! Given that she came out on 8/15/12, the day DACA commenced, to deny driver’s licenses to Dreamers really convinces me that her heart is hardened. If her heart is so touched by the Dreamers, you, Governor Brewer, should give the Dreamers a great Valentines Day gift and allow them to have licenses.
So we will truly see if the DREAM Act kids will tug at Brewer’s heart. Let’s see if she will stop denying these brilliant students and kids a driver’s license by Valentine’s Day 2013. Aver que pasa con eso.
