I was invited to discuss the legal immigration plan supported by the Gang of 8 on the Attorney For Freedom Show a couple of days ago, and you can listen to the recording here.

Marc Victor is a high profile attorney in Arizona who realizes immigration ought to be fixed, and while I don’t agree with all of his ideas — I felt it was important to address what I do and do not support with regard to immigration reform since Victor has several Libertarian and Republican listeners.

I did take the opportunity to nail the Texas U.S. Senators who are missing in action — from the state that shares 64% of the entire southern border length with Mexico. Where are they? Texas John Cornyn is on the Finance committee that oversees ports of entry, trade and tariffs — yet he is nowhere to be found on the push for legal immigration.

We also spoke about Cuban immigrants receive government benefits once their wet foot touches dry land because Libertarians do not like any hints of welfare programs/government benefits. I reminded Victor that most immigrants do not receive the government benefits that are afforded to Cuban immigrants. Indeed Texas U.S. Senator and Cuban-American Ted Cruz has had family that benefited from Cuban privileged amnesty via the Cuban Adjustment Act, and it is unfortunate that the freshman will not follow the steps of Senator Marco Rubio of Florida. At least Rubio is working towards legal immigration — and Ted Cruz is not.

Tune into the May 1st, 2013 recorded show with regard to immigration here.

A vote for Marc Victor is a vote for Marc Victor. A vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Gary Johnson — comprende?

candidate involved in this race so the race is between a Libertarian and a Republican.

In the debate, you will find how the Libertarian Michael Kielsky wants to focus going after the real criminal element with regard to crime in general. Often times, we have seen Bill Montgomery go after people who have done no harm to others, and you can hear for yourselves how Kielsky puts Montgomery on the defense to this regard.

In the second video, you will hear Kielsky’s explanation on why he opposed SB 1070. Free market Republicans who support pro growth business solutions will enjoy Kielsky’s views. Many commercial developers have experienced a negative impact when they lost millions and millions of dollars in project development once SB 1070 was signed. Bill Montgomery’s protectionist views harm our economy, and wastes tax payers dollars. It is clear in the debate, that Bill Montgomery wants to continue to rule with the iron fist.

Or will they vote in the enforcement-only immigration Republican Jeff Flake in 2012?

Allow what I write below to land into the hands of the Barry Goldwater Republicans of Arizona.

Jeff Flake knows how to add salt to a wound after first ripping off a scab.

Career politician Jeff Flake was for the DREAM Act, then against it, now he is for it again.

Confused? You should be.

Why is Flake for the DREAM Act now? Because Arizona polls in favor of the DREAM Act now.

There was a time many years ago when Republicans pushed for legal immigration reform that benefited businesses, building developers, construction and hotel industries, restaurants and etc. The GOP then became hijacked by a bunch of Dixiecrats, and now several former Republicans and free market-savvy individuals left the GOP to join the Libertarian Party because Libertarian voters tend to vote their pocket books and do not support government wasteful spending.

I want to highlight two individuals in the State of Arizona because I know there are many Barry Goldwater Republican voters in our midst.

The two I’m talking about today are Libertarian Candidate Marc Victor and Republican Jeff Flake.

Aside from his immigration reversals, Jeff Flake is for enforcement only immigration policies unless it involves extending Cuban immigrant vacations on the tax payer’s dime. Why did Flake vote to extend Cuban vacations to begin with if they are supposed to be fleeing the ‘corrupt’ Cuba? The U.S. is locking up more illegal immigrants than ever … and an Associated Press review shows the businesses have spent tens of millions of dollars lobbying lawmakers and contributing to campaigns. The cost to American taxpayers is on track to top $2 billion for this year, and the companies are expecting their biggest cut of that yet in the next few years with government plans for new facilities to house the 400,000 immigrants detained annually.

Now contrast Republican-thinking with Libertarian-thinking Marc J. Victor’s views on tax payer dollars being wasted to detain immigrants. In other words, immigrants are being detained with millions of our tax payer dollars. Many of these immigrants do not have the mens rea factor.

In an immigration case, Victor stated:

Gene Healy is the senior editor at the Cato Institute, and he talks about the burgeoning prison system at the expense of tax payers.

He writes:

At one time, the sanction of the criminal law was reserved for serious, morally culpable offenders. But during the past 40 years, an unholy alliance of tough-on-crime conservatives and anti-big-business liberals has utterly transformed the criminal law. Today, while violent crime often goes unpunished, Congress continues to add new, trivial offenses to the federal criminal code. With more than 4,000 federal offenses on the statute books, and thousands more buried in the Code of Federal Regulations, it is now frighteningly easy for American citizens to be hauled off to jail for actions that no reasonable person would regard as crimes. At the same time, rampant federalization and mandatory minimum sentencing are making America’s criminal justice system ever more centralized and punitive. The result is a labyrinthine criminal code, a burgeoning prison population, and often real injustice. Go Directly to Jail examines those alarming trends and proposes reforms that could rein in a criminal justice apparatus at war with fairness and common sense.

So there you have it.

Will the Barry Goldwater cast their vote for enforcement-only Jeff Flake knowing full well the millions and millions of dollars Arizona builders lost due to restrictionism, protectionism and an enforcement-only atmosphere? Or will they continue the career politician’s path?

Romney wants to increase war and Defense Budget by $2.1 trillion even though our military did not ask for it.

of being deployed 4 or 5 times. Military dependents, relatives, friends and Americans are sick and tired of a decade of war implemented by George W. Bush. We are spending billions and billions of dollars in tax payer money as we bomb other countries only to rebuild their infrastructures.

As a woman veteran of the Armed Forces, I take issue with people like Romney who want to become our Commander in Chief — yet, Mitt dodged the draft 4 times. Perhaps I might be more open to Mitt’s request of increasing our $2.1 trillion in defense if he had put his own ass on the line. What does Romney want an increase of $2.1 trillion for? It smells of war mongering to me, and Americans need to start choosing our battles more carefully because we need to minimize bloodshed after a decade of war.

From Center of Responsive Politics:

Update: Armed Forces Show Overwhelming Support for Obama

Update, Oct. 21: Fundraising numbers for the month of September show Obama continuing to dominate when it comes to contributions from the military. The new data, which came in after the story below was published Oct. 15, show he raised $142,197, just a shade less than he collected in August, his strongest month with this set of donors. Romney brought in $111,015 for his best month ever with military donors, but that was still 22 percent less than Obama received.

The new numbers bring Obama’s total from military donors to $678,611, and Romney’s to $398,450.

Foreign policy, military funding and plans for U.S. troops abroad are providing plenty of chewy campaign fodder for President Barack Obama and his GOP rival, Mitt Romney. But fundraising reports shed light on what the armed forces think about the the candidates.

Former Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul received significant support from the military for his strong stance on bringing troops home, and that briefly continued even after Romney pulled ahead as the clear GOP candidate.

Now, though, the military’s support has shifted toward Obama. Romney has consistently received little financial backing from military donors.

Despite the fact that Paul once raised almost twice as much as Obama did from the military, the president has received $536,414 from military donors, compared to Paul’s $399,274 and Romney’s $287,435, according to research by the Center for Responsive Politics. These numbers are based on donations greater than $200, as reported to the Federal Election Commission.

Do you miss the days of Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill where our political leaders used to be able to work in a bipartisan fashion? Indeed it would be nice going back to the good ol’ Reagan and Tip O’Neill days and breaking partisan gridlock to do the jobs Americans voted and pay them to do.

More than ever we need to go back to working on solutions….shedding the partisanship. We need to go back to the Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill days. We are hungry for that. We can no longer support the Tea Party and those who chant Hell No to everything. Americans want politicians to do what they are paid to do and work with each other across the political aisle for what is in the best interest of the United States. More Tea Party supporters have proven to be divisive with their “Hell No” to everything approach and it is destroying the unity message we yearn for because a house divided will not stand.

One of the great modern rivalries in American politics was between President Reagan and the then Speaker of the House, Tip O’Neill. If Reagan believed that government was the problem—O’Neill, an unreconstructed New Dealer—believed it could be the solution. Yet these two very different politicians—from rival parties and with opposing philosophies of government—were able to bridge the gulf between them, often with cordiality—and always with civility.

Reagan summed up their relationship when—after one of their famous St. Patrick Day lunches—he wrote in his diary: “Tip is a real pol…[he can] be a friend while politically trying to beat your head in.”

These days, it appears our Nation has gone to the extreme and to the fringe groups.

Here is why you should support prop 121:

Prop 121, the Open Elections Open Government citizen’s initiative, will establish a “Top Two” election system in Arizona.

Arizonans, indeed ALL Americans, are clamoring for change to our current election process that seems to yield little these days beyond partisan sniping and gridlock. Most voters feel our government is broken because our election system is broken.

Prop 121, the Open Elections Open Government Act, will do away with current partisan primary elections in Arizona in which only a limited number of voters now participate and are only permitted to cast ballots for the candidates from one party.

In its place there will be a primary election open to ALL voters and ALL candidates. The top two candidates from that election—regardless of political party—will then face off in the November run-off election. Prop 121 will affect county, state and federal elections (except presidential) and candidates will be permitted to indicate party preference on the ballot if they so choose.

The result of Prop 121 is a “Top Two Primary” in which every voter will be permitted to vote in both the Primary and General Election. Voters will have real choices, with candidates who better represent all the people of Arizona rather than just the extreme views of narrow interests, the political bosses, and lobbyists. Forms of the top two election system have already been successfully established in several states.

Prop 121 is opposed by political bosses and lobbyists who like things just the way they are, and who fought, but fortunately failed, to prevent you from voting on this important amendment.

We urge you to join with respected community leaders from across our state who are tired of hyper-partisanship and want our government to work for us.

Vote YES on Prop 121.

Read the full text of the initiative to learn more and provide feedback.

Arizona is infamous for being extreme, and this is precisely why I believe power should be taken from both Party bosses and more power should be given to the People via independent voters.

On April 11, 2003 pursuant to Rule XXVII, H.J. Res. 51 was deemed to have passed the House as a result of the adoption by the House and the Senate of the conference report for H. Con. Res. 95, the FY 2004 Budget Resolution. That resolution raised the public debt ceiling to $7,384,000,000.
2004: Flake Voted To Increase The National Debt Limit By $700 Billion. In 2004, Rep. Flake voted for a procedural motion that included a roughly $700 billion debt limit increase. The provision inserted into a popular Defense spending bill allowed supporters to sidestep a direct vote on boosting the legal limit on government borrowing, then at $7.4 trillion. Congress approved a $984 billion debt ceiling boost in May 2003, the largest ever, without a stand-along vote, and a $450 billion increase in June 2002. Before that, the cap was not increased since 1997. The measure passed 221-197. [HR 4613, Vote 284, 6/22/04; CQ Today, 6/23/04; AP, 6/22/04]

2004: Flake Voted To Increase The National Debt Limit By $800 Billion. In 2004, Rep. Flake voted to raise the federal debt limit by $800 billion to $8.18 trillion. The Washington Post reported, “By passing such a huge increase in the debt limit, with no strings attached, Congress has effectively given the Bush administration a blank check to continue running large deficits, said Stephen S. Roach, chief economist at Morgan Stanley. ‘An open-ended license for this kind of fiscal irresponsibility is a recipe for disaster,’ he said.” The bill was adopted 208-204.

Things are getting down right ugly here in Arizona with the deep partisanship of the two major party system between Republicans and Democrats — and this is precisely why I am an Arizona independent voter for life.

I want to demonstrate to my reader how the 2 major party system has failed American voters, and if you really want to punish the 2 major party system here in Arizona — I recommend you vote YES to an Open Arizona Primary via Prop 121.

For example, in Congressional District 9, we have seen the ugly partisanship nature of Republican Candidate Vernon Parker attack the Democratic Candidate Kyrsten Sinema for referring to mothers as leeches.

Burnin’ Vernon states on his facebook page:

“FACT CHECK: Sinema Lies About Breast Feeding Moms Legislation; Taking Credit for Jonathan Paton’s Bill

Phoenix, AZ – Today the Vernon Parker campaign called on Kyrsten Sinema to immediately pull her blatantly false television ad claiming she sponsored legislation to protect breast feeding moms.Sinema’s Claim: “It was Sinema’s legislation that protected breastfeeding mothers like us from indecent exposure laws”FACT: HB 2376 was introduced by Jonathon Paton and Tim Bee. To see the actual bill click the link:

“Shame on Kyrsten Sinema for taking credit for someone else’s work. She should immediately apologize for lying about her record and apologize for calling stay at home moms leeches. Then she should take down this deceptive television commercial and finally come clean about her record,” said Alyssa Pivirotto, Parker Communications Director.”

On the other hand, a Libertarian-Republican friend of mine sent me this photo today below where it shows Burnin Vernon liking a fan page titled:

So how is a woman to vote in Congressional District 9 this year? The options given to them in my view are horrendous. It will amount to two things for the lady voters this year: Whether or not a woman finds it more offensive to be called a “leech” or finding it more offensive that politicians only like to “screw the skinny bitches” if these women voters are overweight.

I really don’t care who wins this race, but as a Latina … I am still disgusted with Burnin’ Vernon parading the border with Sheriff Joe Arpaio back in 2010…and in fact, one day before the Republican primary of 2012, my Libertarian friends told me they received robocalls from Arpaio supporting Burnin’ Vernon Parker and shedding him in a good light. My disdain runs deep against Arpaio since he sent a letter to his fans where he called me a liberal in 2010 — however, liberals are falsely calling me a far right winger and an Arpaio supporter despite my strong anti-Arpaio record. The fringe groups have gone off the deep end — leaving the reasonable 80% that afraid to speak up in fear of being attacked by extremists on both sides of the aisle.

Long live the Independent Revolution, and may we be on the brink of another healthy American Revolution that will take power from both sides of the aisle.

death in our jails. Arpaio is spending millions of dollars attacking the Democratic Candidate Paul Penzone for his domestic violence history, and we already knew Arpaio would do this. Indeed we warned the Maricopa County Democratic party to NOT support flawed candidates with a history that Arpaio could use against them. We knew Arpaio would expose the damaged goods and this is why we have maintained all along that the former Republican, now Independent Mike Stauffer would create a culture of a professional environment at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department.

Maricopa County taxpayers are set to pay $3.25 million for the death of a diabetic woman inside Maricopa County Jail.

County supervisors will approve the settlement amount in an open meeting Wednesday.

I made my assumptions between Arpaio and the Independent fiscal conservative candidate Mike Stauffer below last year. Keep in mind that Stauffer was the first candidate to put his hat in the race against Arpaio.

Arizona Needs a “Scrooge” Sheriff without the “Bah, Humbug”!

I heard on the radio that Sheriff Joe Arpaio landed in a helicopter at the Paradise Valley Mall to announce his crack down at Phoenix area malls. Sheriff Joe Arpaio has become Paul Blart Mall Cop on steroids, except Blart was funny. Arpaio wasting millions of dollars is not funny, particularly when the price for a barrel of oil is rising. Who in their right mind during a down economy wastes aircraft fuel and tax payer dollars simply to pull a public relations stunt? Should it not be enough that Arpaio inappropriately spent $99 million?

What’s a few thousand dollars more from a person who has been living so long on the dole? Public and elected officials should act more like Scrooge with sound penny pinching ideas, but without the “Bah, humbug” disposition.

Next to the United States’ Presidential race of 2012, quite a number of people throughout the nation and the world will have their eyes on a local race — the election of Maricopa County Sheriff.

The controversy surrounding this non-border county with a population less than Los Angeles, has been in the spotlight for over a decade now. Unfortunately there is no reason for that other than a narcissistic Sheriff who is in constant need of attention.

Change is in the air however, much to the chagrin of Joe Arpaio and his remaining allies. Not until now has Arpaio faced such a battle to retain his position as Sheriff. The people of Maricopa County, Arizona, are now taking a stand, and groups like the National Tequila Party and Somos Republicans are educating the voters on why it is time for a new Sheriff in 2012.

With the downfall of former state Senate president, Russell Pearce, and former Maricopa County Attorney, Andrew Thomas, the remaining member of the trio hangs by a thread. With less than one year before the general elections, the 79-year-old Arpaio is facing the most highly skilled opponent of his nearly 20 years of campaigning for office. Scottsdale Police Lt. Mike Stauffer, a 29-year veteran of law enforcement will be facing Arpaio for the first time in the general elections as an Independent.

Already activists are lining up and supporting Lt. Stauffer, and word is spreading throughout the County that “a new sheriff is in town,” and for good reason. While several groups will not support a candidate for Sheriff directly, they will be working behind the scenes to ensure the current “Mayberry” Sheriff does not see a sixth term in office.

With the latest press release from the Stauffer campaign, Stauffer delivers real solutions, cost saving measures, and above all constitutional standards back to the system. Lt. Stauffer states in part: “I support the Utah and the proposed Arizona Compact, in that they reaffirm my beliefs in the rule of law and the constitutional enforcement of the laws and statutes passed by the legislature.”

Stauffer also made it quite clear that “tent city” will be a thing of the past as it has done little to nothing to stop repeat offenders. In place of the “tents,” Lt. Stauffer says he will, “replace this facility with a self-sufficient work farm for first time and low risk inmates to learn skills, attend rehabilitation programs and provide food and services to the rest of the county jail system.” He will also partner with county business to hire qualified inmates through a work-release program that will help cover their stay and save the taxpayers millions of dollars over the long haul. He goes on to say: “This will have a positive impact on the recidivism rate, as the former inmate will have skills and the ability to make positive choices.”

According to West Kenyon, Stauffer’s campaign manager: “Unquestionably, this is exactly what we need now, a practical, professional solution to a broken and very corrupt system. Voters are ready for a new non-party politics sheriff. Lt. Stauffer has certainly staked his claim early, filing to run January of 2010, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind he is serious on bringing reform to the system. It is evident with less then one year to the elections there are no other credible candidates for the job or they would have already stepped up to the plate.”

Time will tell but there is good evidence that the voters here in Arizona and beyond are demanding professionals, not politicians. We will continue to fight for what is right for Arizona, and the National Tequila Party Movement will stand firm in supporting quality candidates.

Instead of wasting millions of dollars and increasing the war budget, I believe we should invest those dollars and give small business owners in our Homeland tax incentives to create more jobs here in the states.

Americans are tired of war.

It doesn’t make sense to blow up other countries only to rebuild their infrastructures abroad. President Obama gets credit for Osama Bin Laden getting taken out under his watch, and he wants to pull back sending more troops abroad. The last thing we need is a Republican war monger like Mitt Romney because we simply cannot afford more wars. We need to focus on what is going on here in our country moving forward.

Here is a Ross Perot flashback from 1992 with regard to the infamous ‘sucking sound’ speech he gave in the debates.

Do you believe there is truth to what Ross Perot said about 20 years ago?
