Mexican American Latino Voters Hawkish on GOP, RNC Reince Priebus and Speaker Boehner on ImmigrationThursday, September 26th, 2013
Mexican American Chicano Latino voters are exactly where we need to be for 2014 an 2016. We are the key swing voters. Republicans like Sharron Angle wanted the public to believe we were all Democratic voters, thereby trying to get Anglos to believe we were a ‘lost cause’.
We are not a lost cause.
We’re more powerful with the best leverage as the fastest rising demographic in the Nation.
51% is exactly where we ought to maintain. Both Parties need to understand that they cannot take advantage of our vote. Mexican-Americans make up of almost 70% of the entire Latin population pie and we are the key swing voters.
We will be paying attention to politicians in 2014 and 2016 with regard to their actions on immigration reform.
We will also see which Party will foster leadership that should arise from the community hurting the most — the Mexican American community. It is a fact the majority getting deported are of Mexican descent.
There are faux organizers and politicians like Sen. Ted Cruz who was born in Canada and son of Cuban immigrant who is trying to be the
“Hispanic / Latino” voice. Mexicans are pushing back against these “Hispanic / Latino” leaders who BENEFIT from the Mexican-American population numbers. Ted Cruz did not support the gang of eight comprehensive immigration reform.
A slight majority of Hispanics in the country, 51 percent, identify as politically independent, according to the survey released Monday. About a third, 32 percent, consider themselves Democrats, while just 11 percent say they are Republicans.
However, the poll found that the majority of Hispanics in the U.S., 52 percent, lean toward the Democratic Party, compared to 23 percent who lean toward the Republican Party.
