ADL Lists ANSWER As Top 10 Anti-Israel Group: Politicians Need To Keep Their Fingerprints Off NIYA and DreamActivist Dream 30 Until Group Denounces Anti-Israel RhetoricTuesday, October 22nd, 2013
We have been exposing two groups led by Mohammad Abdollahi (Iranian immigrant) and/or Prerna Lal (Fijian immigrant). The pseudo immigrant groups are DreamActivist.org and The National Immigrant Youth Alliance (NIYA). After Mohammad and Prerna began DreamActivist (an LGBT-led immigrant organization), they then conducted outreach to the Mexican community utilizing NIYA to create an umbrella group. Both Mohammad and Prerna do not have any agency to speak on behalf of Mexican American voters.
Make no mistake, DreamActivist.org and NIYA are very small groups compared to the vast majority of pro legal immigration reform groups that are out there. Nonetheless, I believe we have to warn the Mexican American community to stay clear of groups led by Mohammad Abdollahi and Prerna Lal. I believe Mohammad and Prerna are guilty of exploiting the Mexican community and the under educated immigrant youth to follow their lead.
That said, we would like to shed light on ties between DreamActivist, NIYA and ANSWER (an anti-Israel group). Before we go into those ties, we would like for our reader to see how ADL has listed ANSWER as one of the Top 10 Anti-Israel Groups in our Nation.
Yesterday, on October 21, 2013, the ADL listed ANSWER as one of the top 10 groups to be on the lookout for.
The Top 10 Anti-Israel Groups, as identified by ADL, are:
ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism)
American Muslims for Palestine
Friends of Sabeel-North America
If Americans Knew/Council for the National Interest
Jewish Voice for Peace
Muslim Public Affairs Council
Students for Justice in Palestine
U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation
A little history behind the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), it was founded in 1913 “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Now the nation’s premier civil rights/human relations agency, ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.
Is ANSWER working with founders of DreamActivist.org, NIYA, DREAM 30 DREAM 9, and so forth? We believe so, and we are demanding they denounce their ties and endorsements from ANSWER.
On July 25, 2013, ANSWER stated:
The ANSWER Coalition stands in solidarity with the nationwide movement to bring home the nine undocumented youth now referred to as the DREAM9.
According to LIBERATION, on June 5, 45 people gathered at the Sol Collective, a community arts center in Sacramento, Calif., for a forum on police brutality and the prison industrial complex. Attendees heard from local activists who are organizing against police brutality and the prison industrial complex. The ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) organized the forum, which featured speakers from five different organizations.
Yeimi Lopez, an activist with Women Organized to Resist and Defend, a women’s rights organization in Sacramento and organizing nationally, also spoke at the forum. … In a call for creative and militant organizing against the system of detention centers, she told the story of Claudia Muñoz, who purposely let herself be apprehended by ICE allowing herself to be sent to the Calhoun County Correctional Facility near Detroit, Mich. Claudia went into the detention center and working with the National Immigrant Youth Alliance documented the abuse suffered by the inmates.
More than ever we need Republican House Representatives to support legal immigration reform from a clearly broken system. The immigration issue is a federal responsibility and it is the responsibility of Congress to fix the broken system while enhancing National Security. The Mexican American community has witnessed notario fraud and immigrant scams that continue to spread.
Mexican American registered voters are pushing back against pseudo activists Mohammad Abdollahi (Iranian immigrant) and Prerna Lal (Fijian immigrant) who co-founded DreamActivist[.]org and now The National Immigration Youth Alliance (NIYA).
DreamActivist has been soliciting for more funds via email to support NIYA asylum moves while exploiting minor under educated children. Mohammad Abdollahi and lawyer David Bennion are encouraging the 13 year old girl from leaving her father in Mexico when they know genuine immigration activists have been fighting to keep families together when they are forced apart by law enforcement officials, detained and deported.
Mohammad Abdollahi and Prerna Lal do not support the legal immigration reform bill recently passed by a Democratic-led Senate and they are chasing pipeline dreams to eliminate the wall entirely. They are also encouraging the wasting of tax payer money with the bogging down of asylum court case hearings and detention of immigrants who will never be granted asylum anyway. They have extreme, anarchist and unreasonable views that the majority of Americans cannot endorse. The American people have made it clear they want a humane immigration reform policy tied into National Security — and I stand by the majority of the people to this regard.
National Mexican American-led pro-immigration group via Somos Independents have demanded DA and NIYA repudiate anti-semitism and anti-Israel views and their funding or fiscally sponsored projects from groups who support Hamas. We believe Israel is an ally of the United States. Arizona Latinos have had to debunk the myths Tea Party Republicans have used against us when they equate terrorism to the Mexican border … as such we are rejecting the Iranian and Fijian immigrant-led group who has no stake on the border issue to begin with. Prerna Lal is currently living in Washington DC while Mohammad Abdollahi lives in Michigan, and we reject their anarchist and extremism views against the President, and the Democrats who are trying to push for legal immigration reform.
Both Prerna and Mohammad have no agency or authority to speak on behalf of what Mexican American voters and immigration activists who have been fighting for the past 12 years with regard to the DREAM Act and immigration reform. Indeed Dream Activist and NIYA anarchist and radical extremist beliefs harm the Mexican community. (R-AZ) Rep. Matt Salmon wants more border restrictions in light of DreamActivist and NIYA’s political stunts.
NIYA’s Dream30 action (promoted by DreamActivist) is receiving funding fromAlliance for Global Justice (AGJ), and we have asked Mohammad Abdollahi to cut their ties with AGJ. AGJ’s web site says the group sponsors operations in the Gaza Strip, with Hamas, and boasts of an alliance with Anarchists Against the Wall, which contests Israel’s security barrier in the West Bank.
If Mohammad Abdollahi does not cut his ties with AGJ we ask that he speak on behalf of Iranian immigrants only and we ask that he quit exploiting and taking advantage of the immigrant minors who are not fully educated with regard to the collateral damage DA and NIYA can bring. As a Mexican American Veteran, I repudiate their anti-American behavior, and since Mohammad really views the United States as “Amerikkka” we ask that he deport himself to Canada or Cuba.
