Many of my readers might recall a story I wrote here with regard to Shay Pendleton, an Arizona mother who continues to grieve over the unsolved mystery and the death of her son in Goodyear, Arizona. The case has not been solved, and the issue didn’t even go through the Silent Witness program. This is an unsolved mystery with regard to the Goodyear Police Department. You can hear Shay’s story here via the Lou Show. With that said, this lovely grieving mother was given news this past week that she may not see justice for her son who died almost five years ago.

Perhaps she may not see “justice” for the wrongful death of her son, but the citizens of Goodyear have the ability to help this grieving mom achieve poetic justice.

chose to turn a blind eye to her son’s unsolved mystery death. According to the views of the grieving mother, Wally Campbell and Joe Pizillo, ignored her cries for justice.

What possible hope can I give this grieving mother after she received a dose of harsh news that she may not see justice?

Her tears automatically roll off her cheeks, and I’m not sure where they come from since I know she has cried rivers … yet they continue to pour out of her eyes with desperate love for her son who will never come back.

All I knew how to tell her is that there is still hope for justice. The citizens of Goodyear could turn the tide and vote against Wally Campbell and Joe Pizzillo on the mother’s behalf…and on Jared Pendleton’s behalf.

Ballots will be mailed out on Valentine’s Day — February 14th, 2013, so please do NOT vote for Wally Campbell and Joe Pizillo this year. Please give this grieving mom hope that hope can be achievable — after all, the Power belongs to the People. Now is the time for moms who are feeling this story to be a soldier for Shay Pendleton …. and to rally up in the name of “Justice for Jared.”

Howard is a Goodyear Blogger and he wrote about the Pendleton case and the ongoing mismanagement in Goodyear, Arizona.

City Claims Mostly Rejected in Pendleton Case; $50 Million Plus in Problems Brought to Taxpayers by Incompetent City Management and High Handed Mayor and City Council

“…Just like the whole Pendelton case. Who knows what happened there? We may never know. But all sides agree that there were BIG mistakes made by the police department which led to the uncertainty. And former GY Police Chief Mark Brown testified that Fischbach and the GY top management team at the time knew about the problems with the Pendleton accident only about ONE WEEK after the accident happened back in April 2008.

Leadership and proper management at the time could have fixed it then. Two employees came forward and said something needed to be done. Goodyear should have fixed it then but they didn’t. If they had fixed it then, there would not be lawsuits going on now from two former discharged police employees (Woodmansee and Rowan) nor a lawsuit from Pendleton’s mother. Instead, Goodyear has stonewalled the entire Pendleton affair and played hard ball all the way.

Sound like Georgia and the incompetents again to you? This is your money being spent by their poor leadership and mismanagement…”

Almost 5 years later, Shay Pendleton, an Arizona mother continues to grieve over the unsolved mystery and the death of her son in Goodyear, Arizona.  The case has not been solved, and the issue didn’t even go through the Silent Witness program. Scrolling through the photos of her son — Jered, it was difficult to try to pick one of him for this story because I have a teenage son, too.  It ails my heart to even think of losing one of my sons.  When you speak to Shay about her son who is no longer with us, you can see her pain when she speaks to you about it.  The pain you see and hear in her voice is smothering and suffocating.  It’s almost as if you want to look the other way because the pain is that unbearable to see in her heart and her eyes.   She’s a good-hearted woman doing the best that she can in the most difficult circumstances.

the beach sand, riding a bike, playing with puppies and enjoying himself at birthday parties. His bright smile lit up the sky.

To this day, when I speak to her … I sense a hole within her soul she yearns to be completed.  I wonder how long it will take for the Goodyear Police Department to help this grieving mother?

Why:  The Goodyear City council is having a meeting this night. Shay Pendleton needs support and a presence there to remember the unsolved mystery of her son, Jered Pendleton. The citizens of Goodyear, AZ, should also be informed with who is on the Goodyear City council in light of the upcoming City Council elections this February.

Most in the city council, including the Mayor, knew about what happened to Jered on April 6th of 2008 and not one of them chose to do the right thing by encouraging discipline towards the officers involved in his death and subsequent cover up. I am calling all journalists and TV crews to come cover this vigil.

On a side note:  Both Wally Campbell and Joe Pazillo are two city council members that should probably be elected OUT of office.

Please support this grieving mother!

Please bring a candle and light it and stand beside her.  Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the candle light vigil (since I will be out of the State), but I am asking my audience to show some love to this woman who has been put through hell and back.

I have made it clear that I am supporting independent candidate Mike Stauffer in the general election come November 6th, 2012, however, I did cast my ballot for Democratic candidate John Rowan for Maricopa County Sheriff  when I voted in the official ballot for the Democratic party primary election.

I did vote for (D) John Rowan in the Democratic primary because I believe (D) Paul Penzone is a flawed candidate who comes with no command experience (was a mere sergeant),  furthermore and more importantly, I cannot support Paul Penzone due to his domestic violence police record.  Susan B. Penzone told the Glendale Police department that Penzone shoved her into the doorway when she went to retrieve hockey sticks for her son,

and she was given a head injury that was reported in the Glendale Police Report.  Documented injuries were reported, yet nobody was taken to jail.  Me thinks Penzone thinks he is above the law as it appears he was given professional courtesy. Penzone will be lucky to receive 10% of the woman Democratic vote on that incident alone.

Why would it be ideal for Democratic voters to support John Rowan during their primary election?

The answer is simple:   (D) John Rowan and (I) Mike Stauffer would be able to have a two-fold flanking attack method against the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio creating a good environment for Arpaio to be on the defensive.   Both (D) John Rowan and (I) Mike Stauffer are candidates for the Maricopa County Sheriff who have undergrad college degrees and experience — but Arpaio and Penzone do not.  The Rowan people would leave the Stauffer people alone and the Stauffer people would leave the Rowan people alone.  Both the Democratic and Independent supporting groups could focus on exposing the corrupt nature of Arpaio depleting him of his resources faster.

Now for the good part …  we cannot turn a blind eye to Penzone’s own corrupt behavior because Arpaio is yearning for the weakest Democratic candidate to win come August 28th, 2012 and here is why:

In a recent video ad, (D) Paul Penzone presents a dramatization of an abused child whom you do not see, but hear reading a script while an empty swing gently drifts back and forth. His intent was to point out the 400+ sex crimes not investigated in El Mirage under Arpaio’s administration.

Penzone closes the ad stating this [uninvestigated sex crimes] won’t ever happen on his watch, however, they already have. In 2007, two years before Penzone left the Phoenix PD as the talking head of Silent Witness, CBS 5 reported over 587 cases of uninvestigated sex crimes lay waiting at the Phoenix PD. Where was Paul Penzone?

Penzone continues to toute his extensive investigative work with Phoenix PD, yet the very man who was supposedly advocating for children’s safety did nothing to expose his agency for the same crimes Arpaio committed. Where was Paul Penzone? We can’t afford another Arpaio.

Here is how independent candidate Mike Stauffer will beat the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Today, the Tequila Party protested Sheriff Joe Arpaio again this morning during both Catholic masses that were held at Ascension Roman Catholic Church (Arpaio’s Church in Fountain Hills).   Arpaio did not show up to morning mass.

We are starting to see a pattern here.

Joe Arpaio a/k/a “el diablo” does not attend morning mass when the Tequila Party protests him at his church.

Why not?

Is he able to sit there quietly learning about Jesus Christ’s teaching while we protest him because he embraces the culture of death in his prison?  Does he think it is cute when he sits in his  air conditioned Church after he cracked jokes about the mysterious Mexican deaths that are ongoing in his prison?  He makes these jokes at Republican meetings.

Does Joe Arpaio expect Mexican-Americans to turn a blind eye to the Latino deaths?

What would Jesus do?

Would Jesus rescind his story with regard to the Good Samaritan as it relates to immigrants?

Below are the photos from our 2nd protest at Ascension Catholic Church in Fountain Hills.  Moving forward, we will be protesting all Phoenix Diocese Churches that have a high Mexican-American population.  We all know that most Mexicans have strong Catholic backgrounds, and we are going to encourage them to attend other churches outside of the Phoenix Diocese….until Bishop Olmsted hears the cries and woes of my people.

I don’t suspect Bishop Olmsted will hear our cries, but maybe we can look Heavenward and ask our Creator to intervene. Arpaio is the “devil” to a number of us, and we look forward to his pride bringing him to his downfall as my people continue to die in his jails.

Below  are the candidates that are vying to replace the corrupt Sheriff, and I believe Mike Stauffer will be the one who can replace the corrupt Arpaio:

John Rowan:  Good Democrat who has command experience.

Paul Penzone:  Flawed Democrat who has a domestic violence police report against him and was a mere sergeant with no command experience.  His wife (Susan B. Penzone) told the Glendale Police Department Paul shoved her into doorway that lead to a head contusion.

Joe Arpaio:  Republican who is responsible for mysterious Mexican-American deaths in his jails.  Wasted millions and millions of tax payer dollars and racially profiles against my people.

Mike Stauffer:  Independent candidate who will win while the Republican and the Democratic candidate duke it out because Americans are tired of partisanship.

8/12/2012 2nd Protest. This man in the Mercedes Benz told Me to go back to Mexico. I told him I was born here and my folks go back several generations here in the U.S. We also told the man in the Benz to practice what Jesus would practice on the treatment of the immigrants and neighbors. Constantly we asked where the Good Samaritans were at and we blasted the fact that Arpaio has made jokes about the mysterious Mexican deaths in his jail. Will the Bishop publicly condemn Arpaio? We await a sign from the Heavens.

The Catholic Bishop Olmsted has not publicly condemned Arpaio’s culture of death actions despite Arpaio making fun of the mysterious Mexican deaths in his prison.  The Mexican-American community is fully aware of Catholic leaders denying the Eucharist to “pro-choice” politicians.  We believe the Catholic Church should also consider denying the Eucharist to politicians like Arpaio who is known for trying to cover up the Latin deaths that are occurring here in Arizona.

If we don’t hear from the Phoenix Diocese Bishop regarding Arpaio’s culture of death he has embraced at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s department, the Tequila Party will have no choice but to protest and tell the entire Mexican-American community attending Catholic Churches within the Phoenix Diocese to consider attending other Catholic Churches until the Bishop hears the cries of my people.

My people are crying.

We desperately want to see a moral authority via the Catholic Church step in and tell Arpaio he is wrong for making jokes about the mysterious deaths of my people.

Who else can we go to when we see Tea Party obstructionists who have hate and bigotry in their hearts and do everything within their power to stop a much needed LEGAL comprehensive immigration reform plan.

I thought Manifest Destiny was a thing of the past.

Guess not.

More importantly, we have learned that the the Paul Penzone campaign employs DREAMers even though he has not taken a pro DREAM Act stance.  Why was the Democratic Sheriff Candidate John Rowan able to take a stand on being in support of the DREAM Act, but Paul Penzone has not?  Why is Stacy Pearson — the Communications Director for the Penzone campaign have her fingerprints all over this Super PAC that can be seen here on this AZ Central news site.  Does Stacy support Kyrsten Sinema who got tough on immigration via SB 1225?

Penzone is a Democratic candidate for Sheriff in Maricopa County, and if you care anything about his campaign, I strongly urge you to write and call his staff, and tell them to BACK OFF of Wenona, and to stop their sabotage of Native American and Latino candidates.

2. More information has come out about the corporate Super PAC that Kirkpatrick has enlisted to try to take out Wenona in the primary election. A Phoenix-based lobbying firm called GovGroupAZ is the organization behind this Super PAC. It turns out that one of GovGroupAZ’s major lobbying clients is the mining corporation ASARCO. Wenona has been endorsed by the United Steelworkers of America, the largest labor union in CD1, and also the union that represents the ASARCO workers, in Arizona. Tequila Party 2nd Protest of Tea Party Arpaio at his Ascension Catholic Church

Phoenix, AZ — On 29 July 2012, the National Tequila Party Movement protested Sheriff Joe Arpaio at his own Ascension Catholic Church, but he did not show up to church on that day.  This past Sunday, Arpaio tweeted he went to Catholic mass.  Latinos are not aware of the Catholic Church condemning Arpaio’s anti-immigrant and culture of death he has brought to Arizona, but we will continue to appeal to moral authorities like Bishop Olmsted to help the Mexican-American community.  We believe Arpaio to be a type of devil as he has contributed to the hate and evil against the Mexican-American community.

The Tequila Party will be protesting Tea Party favorite Arpaio again at his Church this Sunday with an effort for fellow Catholic faithful members to convince Arpaio he is wrong for not taking a Catholic Christian compassionate view of immigrants.   More importantly, the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been allowed to embrace the Culture of Death in his jail.  He has made jokes about the mysterious Mexican deaths in his prison, and indeed our people are dying in his jails.

The Tequila Party Movement will continue to protest Arpaio until we receive a breakthrough. The Tea Party cannot expect the Mexican-American population to turn a blind eye to the mysterious deaths that are occurring in Arpaio’s jail.  Mexican matriarchs have made an open plea to Bishop Olmsted to consider denying the Eucharist to Arpaio the same way the Catholic Church denies it to  pro-choice politicians.  If Bishop Olmsted cannot deny the Eucharist, we are asking him to consider publicly condemning the culture of death actions supported by Arpaio.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.  We are trying to prevent more unjustified deaths in the Maricopa County jail system.    Arpaio is responsible for terrorizing Latinos and immigrants in the State of Arizona.  How much more do our people have to suffer when many Latinos of Mexican descent are members of the Catholic Church?   Since there is an extreme partisanship nature in our government, will those who claim to be of moral authority help the people?

The reality is the Latino community views Arpaio as a type of devil.  We want Arpaio to know how he has become a destructive evil force in the State of Arizona, and we hope he will take heed to the instruction of the Catholic Church as it applies to the treatment of our neighbors and fellow mankind.

Will the power of the cross shine through via Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted regarding the Maricopa County Sheriff via Joe Arpaio?  We are hoping on a miracle that he will publicly denounce Arpaio.

I left the Republican Party for good last year, and am now an independent registered voter supporting independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff.  In September 2010, I wrote a letter addressed to the Prophet of the  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) a/k/a the Mormon church despite being told by my Mormon faithful friends that the letter would probably fall

on deaf ears due to the political and toxic nature of the immigration issue.   I wrote to the Prophet of the Mormon Church because I believed their leadership would be able to influence the Pearce special elections in November 2011.  At one point we were so desperate our members held signs asking members of the Mormon church to help recall Russell Pearce when we held signs in protest outside Mormon Churches in Mesa.

Courageous Mormon leader via Daryl Williams was courageous enough to address approximately 100 Mormon leaders and their community when we held a “Fireside on Immigration” hosted in Mesa, Arizona.   I knew that it would take a good Mormon to oust the bad Mormon in the City of Mesa.

The same holds true with regard to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s race.  I believe it will take a good independent candidate like Mike Stauffer to oust the bad Catholic (via Arpaio) — but not without the help of Catholic leadership.  (It is my understanding Mike Stauffer has a daughter who attends Notre Dame).  The LDS Church stepped up to the plate when they supported the principles of the Mayflower Compact via the Utah Compact, and I hope to see the Arizona Catholic leadership publicly denounce Arpaio.

This is dire and an urgent call to the Arizona Catholic leadership.

Some say the “gospel” is dying when it comes to how we are to treat immigrants and strangers … but I still have a tiny bit of faith that perhaps things will pull through.

SUBJECT:  Open Letter to the most Reverend Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted to publicly denounce Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Dear Bishop Olmsted:

As you know, we live in difficult times trying to raise children with strong Catholic values.  In our society, human life is especially under attack, not only from a pro life standpoint, but from ignoring the injustices affecting the incarcerated and vulnerable members of our community.

Although we appreciated the recent Pastoral Statement regarding Freedom of Conscience, your ‘call to action’ fell short of our commitment to the principles outlined in Catholic Social Teachings. The dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. Direct attacks on innocent persons are never morally acceptable, at any stage or in any condition. As the leader of the Catholic Church in Phoenix, it is your responsibility to pay attention to what is going on in our community and raise awareness to such injustices.

You have a responsibility to publically denounce politicians, including Sheriff Joe Arpaio for making a mockery of his Catholic faith. How can we allow Arpaio to continue to profess his Catholic faith when he continues to turn a blind eye to the rising number of Mexicans killed in his jail? When his actions demonstrate that he has abandoned his responsibility to promote life and the dignity of the human person? When his actions continue to demonstrate that he has abandoned a Christian way of life through his corruption and malfeasance?

It is time that the Catholic Church stand up against public figures whose actions are in direct violation to our most basic Catholic teachings. The Second Vatican Council declared that “the future of humanity is in the hands of those men who are capable of providing the generations to come with reasons for life and optimism.”  The actions and behavior of Joe Arpaio are in direct conflict with this declaration.

We urge you to publically denounce politicians that have a history of corruption and violence towards others.
