Below is a legitimate gripe from an Arizona Democratic voter in our valley. [P.S. When I read notes like the below, it makes me proud to be an independent voter.]  Both Russell Pearce (vice chair of the Arizona Republican Party) and Ann Wallack are elitists and believe their decisions are more important than your average hardworking American voter’s decision.  Both Pearce and Wallack are cut from the same cloth, and if she doesn’t get impeached soon, Ann is going to shit the stick for President Obama. Russell Pearce has already shit the stick for Romney here in Arizona (excluding the Mesa, Arizona, area since it is dominated by Mormons), but Ann Wallack is risking the Latino vote for Obama in Arizona which is a key and vital state.

So, once again, we see the amazing Ann Wallack at work with her behind the scenes machinations. First, Mr. No Labels Cherney, notorious do nothing Party Chair, and now, we have Paul Penzone, a Republican, turned independent, turned Democrat, three days before signing on as a candidate, after being, in Wallack’s own words, to the Grand Dems, “wined an dined”, to recruit him to to run for Sheriff of Maricopa County.

So, the questions must be asked: “Why would Ms. Wallack push such a laclustre candidate, as Cherney, described as a cross between Alfalfa and Opie, if not for the potential monies he could garner, as a former Clinton operative?” and, “Did she court Paul Penzone, in hopes that he would also be an ineffective candidate?” Then, “Why?” Could it be that the real money behind the Arizona Democratic Party comes persons who are heavily invested in CCA and supported by ALEC member corporations? If Penzone were to defeat Joe Arpaio, his ineptitude to run MCSO, stemming from his twenty year career with Phoenix PD, culminating in his attaining only the rank of Sergeant, a rank precluding command experience, would present no threat to Diaz’s, Barnes’, Peterson’s, and DeConcini’s hard earned money; hard invested money.Democratic candidate, John Rowan would. Rowan has stated repeatedly, that he would not aggressively enforce SB 1070, the biggest source of raw materials for the private prison system combine: brown people.

This explains Wallack’s ordering Rowan to “Get your shit outta here!” and that she would not allow his “shit” to be placed in ADP headquarters. This, regarding Rowan’s campaign information. It also explains why the Rowan campaign has been given so much difficulty gaining VAN access. Follow the money. Furthermore, once again, we see Ann Wallack totally disregarding ADP bylaws. In Cherney’s case, he was promoted to Chair, without being an elected PC, first. In Penzone’s case, Party bylaws clearly state that a potential candidate must be a ‘Registered Democrat’, before being recruited. He was not. If Ann Wallack has, historically, so little regard for Party bylaws, then she is repugnant to the specified duties of her office, and must be removed.

Why am I screaming at the top of my lungs with regard to the corrupt dictatorship of Sheriff Joe Arpaio?

Because I heard him with my own two ears make fun of and crack jokes regarding the mysterious Mexican deaths at his jail at a Republican meeting that was held in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Mustang Library!

Turns out Arpaio may not be joking … we demand his whole system be investigated before more Latinos die in his prison.  Latinos, Chicanos and concerned citizens will not stand down.   Ernest Marty Atencio (Latino Veteran of the Armed Forces) was beaten to a pulp and left naked and for dead, now we have another mysterious Latino death that has occurred in his prison within the past year.

It appears Joe Arpaio is running an operation that embraces the culture of death and discrimination.

How many other Latino inmates are dying?

How many Latinos are being booked in his jail cells and for what crimes?  How many Latinos have died in his prison since he has been the Sheriff of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office?

The Tequila Party along side John Rowan and Mike Stauffer supporters are protesting Arpaio, and we will not be silent until mysterious Mexican deaths in Arpaio’s prisons cease!

From Channel 3 TV:

Farinas’ sister, who did not want to go on camera or identify herself, sent 3TV pictures of Farinas which show some bruising and scratch marks. Before the funeral Wednesday morning, she said the photos were proof that Farinas had been beaten and that the family now wants to pursue a lawsuit against the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Apodoca said the family wants to pursue legal action to protect future inmates.

“Something has to be done so this doesn’t keep happening,” he said, “We shouldn’t have to be burying our kids just because they get a traffic ticket or go to jail.”

3TV has sent multiple requests to conduct an on-camera interview with an MCSO representative. As of Wednesday afternoon, no one from MCSO has agreed to an interview.

 

 

UNIVISION Phoenix 33 had the best video coverage on the protest of Joe Arpaio regarding another Latino inmate death.  Yesterday the Tequila Party protested Arpaio. John Rowan for sheriff and Mike Stauffer for sheriff supporters were there.  Paul Penzone was nowhere to be found.  The Tequila Party acted immediately because a Latino Veteran via Marty Atencio died unjustly in Arpaio’s prison in December 2011 and now another Latino inmate death has been revealed.  The mother and girlfriend of Raymond Farinas said they saw bruises all over his body and a cut on his forehead.

This is an outrage!  I remember Arpaio joking about the mysterious Mexican deaths in his prison system that was held at a GOP meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Joe Arpaio is the same man Mitt Romney appointed as his Arizona Chair in 2008 when he ran against John McCain.   Turns out Arpaio continues to make light of this issue and is running amuck.

We issued an action alert yesterday and we had a few people come and go during the two hour protest under the unbelievable heat.  We protested in 107 degree weather.  Latinos will not be silent anymore.  The Chicano movement is stirred.

Why are “elitist” far right and far left people asking Mike Stauffer to get out of the race when he received five times the endorsements from Arizona voters via his petition signatures?  He was the first to announce against Arpaio and has been building grassroots support for 2 years.  He has broad bi-partisan support from Ron Paul Libertarian supporters, Republicans, Independents, and Blue Dog Democrats.  Do the math:  Mike received approximately 30,000 signatures from ARIZONA voters who support an Independent Candidate while Paul Penzone (a mere sergeant with no command experience nor leadership experience to supervise the 3rd largest county in the nation) received only 6,000?  Mike was the first to announce against Arpaio and the first to turn in his signatures and first to get on ballot.  The Democratic party was wise to stand down in the Jerry Lewis elections, when they did not support a democratic candidate to run against Pearce because they know Independents in our State of Arizona swing conservatively.  The Arizona Democratic Party would be wise to stand down in the Arpaio race or they will suffer the consequences in Maricopa County.

LEADERSHIP MATTERS.  If anyone needs to get out of the race it is Penzone.  Hell at least John Rowan (another Democratic candidate running for the Sheriff’s office position) has command experience when he was the assistant to the police chief.

Furthermore, Penzone cannot even secure an endorsement from the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) even though he worked for Phoenix Police Department — in other words … PLEA is rejecting their own to support Arpaio. If that isn’t the writing on the wall I don’t know what is.

While a few political novices have attempted to float the idea that Maricopa County Sheriff candidate Lt. Mike Stauffer should drop out after campaigning for 2.5 years and collecting the largest number of signatures of any single candidate for a county wide election in Maricopa County history, it appears his opponents and the political party machine (extremest Republicans and Democrats) are quivering in there western boots and in at least 20 years the residents of the county could very well have the first independent sheriff in history.

It is becoming quite obvious that those couple of desperate want-to-be rain makers in the Valley are very concerned that a major “political” seat could easily be held by Lt. Stauffer, a highly qualified, 29 year law enforcement professional and registered Independent. We also know the last thing the radical Right and Left would want is a true independent to hold political office, in fear of a complete disruption of politics as usual.

The few and far between are also attempting to suggest that he with the most money of the three November candidates will win the sheriff’s seat. As any even slightly intelligent individual can quickly comprehend, that means Arpaio automatically wins and as of now all four candidates should end their bid for the seat now. Again, this fuzzy logic confirms the exceptional chances Lt. Mike Stauffer has to become our next Sheriff.

The Stauffer campaign has made it very clear, “as of now we are the only strong one on the ballot for Maricopa County Sheriff in November and Stauffer’s name will appear on your ballot then.”

Is Phoenix FOX 10 News supporting a sham candidate? After all, FOX  is frequented by Sheriff Joe Arpaio as a commentator on their news station.  It was discovered yesterday that Paul Penzone received only a fraction of signatures Mike Stauffer collected.  Penzone received only 6000 signatures compared to Mike Stauffer’s almost 30,000 signatures, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do the math with regard to the level of support Stauffer has already.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  It’s going to take a strong broad coalition from across party lines to defeat Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  Mike Stauffer submitted almost 30,000 signatures (almost 5 times the endorsements Penzone received). Penzone was a mere sergeant with no command experience.  For those who don’t know how law enforcement works, Maricopa County voters will look at leadership experience in order to entrust their vote to someone who wants to run the the sheriff’s department that represents the 3rd largest county in the Country.  The Arizona Democratic Party is silly to give Maricopa County voters a candidate with no leadership experience.  Only two candidates have leadership experience that will beat Arpaio:  1) (Independent Candidate) Mike Stauffer who is a lieutenant and 2) (Democratic Candidate)  John Rowan who has experience as an assistant to a police chief.

The goal here is to defeat Joe Arpaio and avoiding  “sham candidates.”  As a former Republican …. I have several Republican friends in the State of Arizona and they tell me  the Arpaio supporters are keeping track of all the “fired” people who seem to support Penzone.  Paul Charlton is one of them who was fired by the Bush administration that created controversy involving the dismissal of U.S. attorneys, and he also frequents Fox News as a commentator.

It is no secret that Arpaio Republican supporters in our state watch FOX 10 news.  I find it odd they giving extra attention to a democratic candidate with no leadership experience.  This is precisely what Arpaio needs …. particularly when Mike Stauffer received ground support from people who can fill two arenas, and was formerly Republican and now an Independent.

When asked how Penzone was going to beat Arpaio, Penzone said “by debate.”  Did anyone manage to give Penzone the memo when Arpaio stated he wasn’t going to debate anyone?

Bottom line:  It will take a massive broad coalition to beat Arpaio.  I know Mike Stauffer has that and my audience will find out who the big time endorsements are going to come from once the democratic party figures out who they want with regard to John Rowan and Penzone.  Will they pick the former assistant to the police chief?  Or will they pick the sergeant?
