The National Tequila Party movement (counter movement to Tea Party extremism has produced a Latino-friendly list) for Latinos who need a guide.   The list was based on how DREAM Act views of politicians and/or how they voted on the DREAM Act during that fateful day of December 8, 2010.

We promised not to allow Joaquin Luna’s death to be in vain.

DREAM Act student, Joaquin Luna, recently took his life in Texas. At 18 years old, he had aspirations of becoming an engineer. He was one of ours. He took  his life because he felt as an undocumented immigrant he had nowhere to go. He relied and was hoping for the passage of the DREAM Act in December 2010 that could have been passed with only a handful more Senate votes.

Many of us were heartbroken in December 2010 when we saw several youth praying with white knuckled hands hoping for that DREAM Act miracle. These kids and our youth don’t want a free handout. They want to contribute their special talents and hard work to our society. We have an aging baby booming generation we need to think about and it seems like the right fit to have a loving people (my people) care for the aging and our elderly. If it is anything that we are good at, it is caring for our elderly. You rarely see Latino grandparents in nursing homes because we respect them so much that we have to care for them on a personal basis and within our homes. It’s a natural fit to embrace a fix that will only benefit Americans.

It’s weird.  You can almost hear the crickets in the air — but what do the Mormon Utah Compact leaders  have to say about Mitt Romney’s self-deportation  ideas that affects Latinos?

We have applauded The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints  (LDS / Mormons) for their compassionate views towards the undocumented immigrants.  In fact,  LDS their top leadership has embraced the Utah Compact which is modeled after the Plymouth Compact.

So what happened with their own Mitt Romney?

Why haven’t any of the Utah Compact leaders spoken against Romney’s self deportation ideas?

Where are they?

Don’t the Mormons know that we know they are spreading the gospel in Latin countries, but their own member (Mitt) of the LDS Church is advocating the booting out of my people?

Why hasn’t the Mormon Church taken Mitt Romney’s temple card away the same way Catholics deny the Eucharist to “pro choice” politicians?

Now before you accuse me of being anti-Mormon, make no mistake …. we have been protesting the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio at his own Catholic Church, too.  In fact, we wrote a letter to Bishop Olmsted asking him to publicly denounce or deny Arpaio the Eucharist since mysterious Mexican-American deaths are occurring in the Maricopa County jails.   You can read our entire letter to the Bishop here.

Speaking of Arpaio, Arizona voters like me will never forget how Mitt Romney made the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio his Arizona chair when he was running against Senator John McCain in 2007.

It’s no wonder our Nation is so broken and barely holding on.  Heck, we can’t even look to religious leaders anymore to be strong voices that would help the voiceless, the poor and so on.  While politicians are supposed to be ethical, it used to be that religious leaders were supposed to have better moral standards.  Somehow, we have grown into a society where religious leaders are now  afraid to say what people are thinking due to political correctness.

I hope more Mormon leaders will continue to see that anti-immigrant self-deportation law(s) in a way resembles the Mormon Missouri extermination order.  Both SB 1070 and the Missouri Extermination Order advocate mass exodus in order for people to flee persecution.  We have witnessed mysterious deaths in the Maricopa Co. prisons, the chaining of pregnant women while they give birth, and people have been killed in our state since the Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed SB1070 into law — and I believe much of this has to do with how political leaders view those of Mexican descent.

I recently read a story regarding how Romney is holding on to his Mormon faith through political rise — and this is confusing to me considering how he will not support bipartisanship ideas on the treatment of fellow man via immigrants.   I am not questioning Romney’s salvation, but I do question how he will not support the Mormon leaders in Salt Lake City, Utah, via the Utah Compact.

We will be watching how the Mormon leadership will finally publicly react to Mitt Romney’s self-deportation ideas.

While  Mormon missionaries go to Mexico, I hope they remember that one of their own via Romney is supporting  hurtful self-deportation of my people in the Nation that was built by immigrants to begin with.

You heard it from me first….Mike Stauffer for Sheriff is to Joe Arpaio what Gary Johnson is to Mitt Romney — the Achilles heel.  And while there are not enough Libertarians that will choose a President in 2012, there are, however, enough Independent voters and moderate Republicans in Maricopa County to oust Arpaio.

Stauffer has found a way to reach out to independents and libertarian-leaning Republicans who care more about fiscal accountability.  Stauffer’s message?

The Sheriff’s office should not be partisan.

Victory in Pennsylvania

In an announcement sent out by the Johnson campaign’s Ryan Shattuck Friday evening, he quotes news articles detailing the Libertarians’ victory in the Keystone State. ‘Commonwealth Court judges sided with Johnson by a margin of 2-1 on Thursday,’ the statement read. It goes on to explain how establishment candidates like Democrats and Republicans must submit only 2,000 petition signatures to appear on the ballot.

At the same time, independent and opposition party candidates like Gary Johnson must submit 20,601 valid signatures. Showing just how much grassroots support there is in Pennsylvania for Johnson’s Presidential run, the campaign ended up submitting 49,000 ballot access signatures – two and a half times the number required and almost 25-times the number Republicans and Democrats each collected.

There’s no doubt that the Gary Johnson for President campaign is notching one victory after another this election season. The question remains however, is it enough to launch the Libertarian Presidential nominee into a voter-recognized three-man race for President? In reality, it won’t do the former two-term New Mexico Governor any good to be on the ballot nationwide if voters still don’t know who he is by election day.

Have you noticed how the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio keeps mentioning his weakest candidate via Paul Penzone?  Joe Arpaio is eerily silent on Independent candidate Mike Stauffer for sheriff of Maricopa County.   We know it is because Arpaio is afraid to

You see, Arpaio knows that he CANNOT risk offending the Independent voters in Maricopa County.  He also knows the Democratic Party lost approximately 52,000 Democratic registered voters in 2011 in the State of Arizona, while the AZGOP gained a little and the Independent voters who are tired of partisanship surged in an enormous fashion.

Voter frustration with political hyper-partisanship in Arizona may explain the swell over the past two years in registered independents — a change that some political insiders deem dangerous.

The biggest increase in independents occurred between June 2010 and July 2011, and the numbers have basically stayed flat over the past year.

During the two-year period, the number of registered Republicans jumped about 14,000.

But in just the past year, the number of registered Democrats dropped by more than 52,000, according to a Secretary of State’s Office recently released report…….

The growth in independents is a trend surging through the entire country.

By 2011, more than 2.5 million voters nationwide had left the Republican and Democrat parties since the 2008 elections, according to a USA Today analysis.

“Voters are getting kind of tired and disgusted with the tone of politics nowadays. It seems to them like it’s just yelling and screaming at each other,” said Frank Camacho, Arizona Democratic Party spokesman. “(Candidates) don’t focus on the issues, they say: ‘Vote for me because the other guy’s a jerk.’ ”

As voters become increasingly fed up with the tone of the two parties, they drop their affiliation and become independents, which means party primaries are increasingly dominated by the fringes, said Paul Johnson, chairman of the Open Elections/Open Government initiative, which is pushing for an open primary in the state.

Moderate Republicans and Independent Voters now have an option with Independent Candidate Mike Stauffer.  Indeed Sheriff Joe Arpaio is eerily silent on Mike Stauffer and now it’s time to go after his Achilles heel.

The name of the game is to remind the surging Independents who are fed up with partisanship that there is no room for partisanship in the Sheriff’s office.

In Maricopa County, there are 36% registered Republicans, 35% registered Independents, and only 29% registered Democratic voters.

We know in our State there are too many registered Republicans who will not vote for the candidate who has a (D) beside his name.  Most moderate Republicans that come from the John McCain supporting camp would rather vote for the Independent candidate via Mike Stauffer.  We have also witnessed registered Democratic voters who refuse to support Penzone due to his lack of leadership experience and qualifications — and certainly his domestic violence background doesn’t help him.

Mike Stauffer supporters are reaching out heavily to Independent voters and to Republican voters in Maricopa County.

Why?

Because that is where the money is at in this state so far.  We have a Republican-controlled legislature, and it is going to take a conservative-leaning Independent to oust Arpaio. That is where Independent candidate Mike Stauffer comes in.

Mike Stauffer is the squeaky clean boyscout looking candidate with an impeccable record with a Masters Degree and leadership experience.   This is precisely why we have discovered Arpaio mentioning only his weakest opponent via Penzone.   Arpaio cannot afford to attack the independent candidate and independent voters, and his campaign advisors are smart enough to know that.  In fact,  Arpaio doesn’t need one single Democratic voter to win, and the Stauffer people realize that, too.

Ever wonder why a flawed candidate like Paul Penzone was allowed to spoil the Maricopa County Sheriff race vote?

All along my gut has told me to support Mike Stauffer for sheriff due to Paul Penzone’s alleged wife beating record.

Here is another reason why Penzone should be doubted.

I am a registered Independent voter in Arizona … but let’s hope the Democratic average voter is smart enough to choose John Rowan in the Democratic Primary election come August 28, 2012, else, Paul Penzone is gonna look like a simpleton during general election time.  Here is an image of what the campaign will shape into if Paul Penzone (alleged wife beater) beats John Rowan in Democratic Primary.

Answer key: Candidate 1 is Arpaio. Candidate 2 is Mike Stauffer. Candidate 3 is Penzone. This is precisely why we support independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff. This picture cannot make it any clearer to the reasonable voter.

As an Independent registered voter of Arizona, I requested the Democratic ballot in order to cast my vote during the Democratic Primary Election come August 28th, 2012.

I have made it clear that I am supporting independent candidate Mike Stauffer in the general election come November 6th, 2012, however, I did cast my ballot for Democratic candidate John Rowan for Maricopa County Sheriff  when I voted in the official ballot for the Democratic party primary election.

I did vote for (D) John Rowan in the Democratic primary because I believe (D) Paul Penzone is a flawed candidate who comes with no command experience (was a mere sergeant),  furthermore and more importantly, I cannot support Paul Penzone due to his domestic violence police record.  Susan B. Penzone told the Glendale Police department that Penzone shoved her into the doorway when she went to retrieve hockey sticks for her son,

and she was given a head injury that was reported in the Glendale Police Report.  Documented injuries were reported, yet nobody was taken to jail.  Me thinks Penzone thinks he is above the law as it appears he was given professional courtesy. Penzone will be lucky to receive 10% of the woman Democratic vote on that incident alone.

Why would it be ideal for Democratic voters to support John Rowan during their primary election?

The answer is simple:   (D) John Rowan and (I) Mike Stauffer would be able to have a two-fold flanking attack method against the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio creating a good environment for Arpaio to be on the defensive.   Both (D) John Rowan and (I) Mike Stauffer are candidates for the Maricopa County Sheriff who have undergrad college degrees and experience — but Arpaio and Penzone do not.  The Rowan people would leave the Stauffer people alone and the Stauffer people would leave the Rowan people alone.  Both the Democratic and Independent supporting groups could focus on exposing the corrupt nature of Arpaio depleting him of his resources faster.

Now for the good part …  we cannot turn a blind eye to Penzone’s own corrupt behavior because Arpaio is yearning for the weakest Democratic candidate to win come August 28th, 2012 and here is why:

In a recent video ad, (D) Paul Penzone presents a dramatization of an abused child whom you do not see, but hear reading a script while an empty swing gently drifts back and forth. His intent was to point out the 400+ sex crimes not investigated in El Mirage under Arpaio’s administration.

Penzone closes the ad stating this [uninvestigated sex crimes] won’t ever happen on his watch, however, they already have. In 2007, two years before Penzone left the Phoenix PD as the talking head of Silent Witness, CBS 5 reported over 587 cases of uninvestigated sex crimes lay waiting at the Phoenix PD. Where was Paul Penzone?

Penzone continues to toute his extensive investigative work with Phoenix PD, yet the very man who was supposedly advocating for children’s safety did nothing to expose his agency for the same crimes Arpaio committed. Where was Paul Penzone? We can’t afford another Arpaio.

Here is how independent candidate Mike Stauffer will beat the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

He thinks we went too far, but we didn’t.  The corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio is clearly upset in this youtube video below and you can see how angry and tired he looks.  Arpaio thinks the Tequila Party movement has gone too far with protesting him at the Catholic Church.

Here is our response to Sheriff Joe Arpaio … followed by the video of him complaining of our Tequila Party protest which can be seen around the 2 minute and 30 second mark.

Dear Sheriff Joe Arpaio:

We have not gone too far, in fact, we have done too little.  I’m not certain the extent of your religious knowledge and what YOU have learned at your Church, but this I do know … My people are dying in YOUR jails.

I have personally heard you crack jokes about the mysterious deaths in your prison at a Republican meeting when I was still a member of the GOP.  I left the GOP for good because of Republicans like yourself.  Recall to your memory a Latino veteran of the Armed Forces who unjustly died in your jail.

For you to expect Latina women (who were born right here in the good old U.S.A) to turn a blind eye to the killings that are taking place in your jail is something we cannot and will not do.

Even though I do not attend your church, what I do know is that at one point Jesus went into the temple, threw out everyone who was selling and buying in the temple, and overturned the moneychangers’ tables and the chairs of those who sold doves.

Why did Jesus do that?  Was there perversion taking place in a place of worship?

You and your ilk have made money via the private prison industry like CCA.   You have benefited from the inhumane incarceration and deaths of my people.  While Christ was upset with money changing at the temple, we are upset that our people are dying in YOUR jail.

We have been LEGAL and we have been exercising our freedom of expression with regard to the hatred we see taking place in Arizona that spread throughout our Nation because of politicians like you who felt it was in your best interest to demonize human beings.

Indeed we know what the Pope’s stance is on immigration, which is why we have chosen the path we are on.  Again, people are dying in your jail.  We will continue to protest you and we will continue to shine the light and shout from the mountain tops how you (a Catholic) are helping to make the Catholic religion look bad.

It is my understanding your background is of Italian descent lest you forget how Italian immigrants came to the United States without papers, too.

My people are indigenous to this land, and many of us are citizens of the United States, and have fought for this country since its inception.  I earned my right as a Veteran of the US Armed Forces and I intend on exercising my Freedom of Expression to the fullest in order to shine the light on your inhumane approach to fellow man.   And before you start accusing me of being a Democrat liberal, make no mistake:  I am an Independent registered voter of Arizona who supports independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff who appears to be a good Catholic …  because I happen to also believe that the Democratic opponent via Paul Penzone is just as evil as you are when I learned his wife told the Glendale Police Department that he shoved her into a doorway that caused her a head injury.
