If you are going to be running for public office, then one ought to be as transparent as he can with regard to his past tax returns.
Why isn’t Mitt Romney releasing his tax returns?
Is it because he doesn’t want to mobilized the 99% or Occupy Wall Street?
Perhaps so. Indeed people have made a game out of Romney and the evil Wall Streeter character via Gordon Gekko with a “who said it” game. In fact one of the questions involved Mitt Romney advocating for letting Detroit go bankrupt.
Regardless, more and more conservatives are blasting Romney for not being transparent with his tax returns … while yet seeking to earn the trust of the American people. From Bill Kristol to former Bush aide Matthew Dowd, even Republicans are demanding Mitt Romney release his tax returns.
