I watched her pen a letter of heart break.
She wrote as fast as she could before our destination of roses and final rest.

He is right here with us
He never abandoned
His love was the ultimate sacrifice
And it came with a price

Nina is Joaquin Luna’s sister. Joaquin Luna was a DREAMer who took his life the day after Thanksgiving 2011 because he felt he had no hope. This photo was taken when we were on our way to protest the GOP and the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio. We made a stop to visit the Joaquin Luna family in south Texas.
