Mitt Romney accused of using Ku Klux Klan (KKK) Slogan. Considered most dangerous 2012 Presidential CandidateFriday, December 16th, 2011
I recently learned that Mitt Romney has allegedly been using a Ku Klux Klan (KKK) slogan only days ago. According to John Aravosis and the America Blog, Romney said it repeatedly for over a year now. The Slogan? “Keep America America[n].” From America Blog:
During a time in which our country as well as the globe is under tremendous pressure, the last thing we need is for a Presidential candidate to bring us to a place that predates the Civil Rights era. More than ever we must embrace what made our nation great — immigrants. Evidently Mitt Romney hates it so much he wants all of them to go back to where they came from. We need a Presidential candidate that wants to go back to healing, vibrancy, innovation, and a positive outlook with a pro growth strategy because together we stand or divided we fall.
The last thing we need is to support any candidate who will take Americans back to the Klan era.
Arizona’s State Senator Russell Pearce recently lost a special election race in November 2011, and this should be indicative that Americans will eventually move forward doing their best to shed any hint of bigotry. It is unfortunate Romney will not support the Utah Compact. Doesn’t he know it was modeled after the Mayflower Compact?
The Mayflower compact was signed on board the Mayflower ship historically known for bringing Pilgrim immigrants from across the oceans. In a symbolic way, this was the first American Constitution. John Quincy Adams, a child of Mayflower passenger John Alden, in principle calls the Mayflower Compact the foundation of the U.S. Constitution in a speech given in 1802. It is unfortunate for Mr. Romney to forget about the Pilgrim immigrants who landed on Plymouth to help make this great
Below is video where Romney uses a slogan that is very similar to what the KKK used when he spoke at a Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) appearance. We are familiar with CPAC which is the same place Ann Coulter referred to the Arabs by the epithet “ragheads” along with her other piffle?
Mitt Romney is a snake oil salesman and a charlatan.
His chameleon ability cost him the 2008 GOP Primary elections with Senator McCain, and it will cost him again. I have watched Mitt Romney closely since 2007 when I volunteered for John McCain’s 2008 Presidential campaign. It was hard to keep up with Mitt sometimes because he reversed his positions so many times. Politicians forget that we live in the Information Age making it relatively easy for the ordinary American to do a quick internet search on his positions.
I have a problem with Mitt Romney, and it is not because I perceive him as the Gordon Gekko from Wall Street, or watching him have a temper tantrum as he resorts to money being the answer via a $10,000.00 bet like a spoiled rich little brat. I have a problem with him because he used and continues to use and demonize my people for his political expediency. I systematically watched him move McCain farther to the right with regard to the immigration issue, and I watched him move Rick Perry to the right attacking Perry for being compassionate toward DREAM Act students.
A bright young man by the name of Joaquin Luna was an undocumented teen who committed suicide because he felt he had no other option. I hold all politicians like Romney accountable for that. They could have preached message of hope to children and youth with the strong belief that immigrants (particularly children and students) contribute economically to our nation with the talents they bring. Mitt Romney is no Reagan, and unfortunately for the Republican Party – they need a Reagan on Steroids.
