Right now Republicans are attacking a woman’s right to choose life for their babies, and the big legislative showdown was today.

Shirl Mora James is a Civil Rights and Immigration lawyer in the Midwest who has committed her life to protecting a woman’s right to choose in having their babies. Shirl is also the President of a woman-led movement via SOMOS INDEPENDENTS (formerly the National Tequila Party Movement).

The National Right to Life (NRLC) needs to take a strong stance against the Republicans like the Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman and Nebraska Senator – Charlie Janssen. The NRLC cannot expect a State Chapter to do it all and they should set a national precedent warning other Republicans across the Nation. If Republicans continue to attack women, and prenatal care to US Born-Children (protected under the 14th amendment) they will continue to be viewed as bigots.

Here is the video of Shirl Mora James who made a strong statement against Republicans in Nebraska who claim to be pro-life, but are really in support of encouraging undocumented women to receive abortions rather than to support healthy U.S. born babies.

Shirl was fierce and strong in the defense of LIFE today.

I will be watching her via LIVE STREAMING as she takes a very strong stance against Nebraska Governor Heineman and Senator Charles Janssen who seem to want to encourage the undocumented women to have abortions rather than receive healthy prenatal care.

So far, the NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE has not taken a stance against Republican politicians who are attacking the 14th amendment and who are attempting to take prenatal care away from babies who need prenatal care~!

Shirl Mora James will be giving the below testimony at the Nebraska legislative hearing. She is not your ordinary internet arm revolutionary — nay, she walks her talk…hosts rallies to increase getting out the vote and conducts educational seminars. She is a mover and a shaker. She’s a dynamic and fierce woman who we get to see in live action here.

       March 21, 2013
Good afternoon, Chairperson Campbell and distinguished members of the Health and Human Services Committee. My name is Shirl A. Mora James. I am a civil rights/immigration attorney from Lincoln. I am licensed to practice in all the Nebraska state courts, the United States Federal Courts of the District of Nebraska, the United States Immigration Court in Omaha, the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. I am here speaking as the President of Nebraska Hispanic Bar Association and as the President of Somo Independents, a national organization lead by Latinas to register and empower Latin@s to support politicians that support our issues which include providing prenatal care for all U. S. citizen babies.

Today, my purpose is to give a voice to the silent unborn U.S. citizen babies and their mothers in this debate, these babies could be denied prenatal care, if you allow LB-518 out of committee. Personally, I was raised in western Nebraska and taught in the Catholic teachings which value babies above all else and especially above one’s self-interest. Simply put, no mother, whether she has legal presence or not, should ever have to ponder the possibility of aborting her wanted unborn baby because she cannot afford prenatal care. I ask you all to consider this truth, these U.S. citizen babies and their mothers are part of our human family and must be treated as such.

Now, it is high time to call out the author of LB-518 and other anti-life politicians who attempt to dehumanize these U.S. citizen babies by calling them ‘anchor babies’ or by denying them prenatal care for their own pathetic political gain. To the author of LB-518, I say: you are a coward who attacks innocent helpless U.S. citizen babies, where in the world is your moral compass? Stop and think, what would you do, if these children were yours. You profess to be ‘Prolife and have Family Values’ so then ‘walk your talk’ and stop attacking the health and the very lives of these innocent babies and start protecting and advocating for them or else you are nothing but a hypocrite for political self-gain.

Moreover, SHAME on all the anti-life politicians that attack U.S. citizen babies because of the status of their mothers! Finally, let’s ponder this moral question: What have we become, in what kind of society would it ok to deny certain U.S. citizen babies prenatal care and attempt to force a mother to ponder a needless abortion, and what does it say about our so-called “Prolife” political leaders that promote the killing or disabling of certain U.S. citizen babies by denying them prenatal care.

Honorable members of this Committee, PLEASE save the babies from this EVILNESS that has seeped into the core of a very small segment of Nebraska society! Please, I respectfully request that you all vote for our Nebraskan U.S. citizen babies and kill LB-518 in committee, and continue to allow our unborn Nebraskan babies the opportunity to obtain the necessary prenatal care regardless of the status or the wealth of their mother. I thank you for your time and kind consideration in this most important matter. If you have any questions for me, I would be happy to answer them now.

Sincerely,
S. A. Mora James, JD

Right now Republicans are attacking a woman’s right to choose life for their babies.

There is a big State Capitol “pro life” showdown that will take place in Nebraska. Shirl Mora James will be giving her testimony that protects our unborn U.S. citizen babies, and we will share her written testimony as soon as I receive it from her.

The Republican Party used to be known for being the party of pro life, however, several GOP lawmakers have been supporting laws that encourage women without status to get abortions instead of prenatal care.

Will the Nebraska RIGHT TO LIFE rise up to the occasion?

Will the pro life movement chastise those politicians who claim to be pro life but are hell-bent on taking away prenatal care from brown colored women?

Write them now and ask them where they stand on prenatal care for the undocumented.

Nebraska Right to Life
404 S. 11th St., PO Box 80410, Lincoln, NE 68501,
Phone: (402) 438-4802, Email: nebraskartl@gmail.com

If the National Right to Life Organization truly believes all babies are created equal … Where is their leadership? Where do their leaders stand?

We did not see the National Right to Life, nor the Arizona Right to Life leadership when GOP lawmakers were attacking the 14th amendment in Arizona. Will we see them testify in support of prenatal care for undocumented women tomorrow? Will they stand up against Nebraska Governor Heineman and Senator Charles Janssen? Will they continue to support these GOP lawmakers who are in essence encouraging abortions?

Where is the National Right to Life’s passion for the unborn? [Keep in mind that these are the same folks who endorsed Mitt Romney who profited in the million$ from abortions.]

Does their right to life movement only apply to white babies? LB518 is Janssen’s bill in an effort to take away prenatal care from brown undocumented women.

Will our Creator see how these so-called Right to Life Organizations and their leaders have squandered their talent and donated monies in fear of GOP reprisal?

Will the good Lord create another entity who are truly pro life? Not just from a womb standpoint — but protecting life from the womb to the tomb standpoint?

Meanwhile, a fierce woman like Shirl Mora James who has compassion in her heart for the disabled, the women, the minorities and the undocumented is issuing a rally cry.

Shirl Mora James states:

Tomorrow, State Capitol SHOWDOWN, Protecting our unborn U.S. citizen children of mothers without status….be there….STAND-UP and FIGHT for the BABIES! Prenatal care must be provided to them regardless of their mother’s wealth or status! This Thursday, the 21st, we are meeting at 1:00 p.m. outside of Room 1510, please feel free to provide written testimony, 10 copies of your testimony are needed to hand out to the Committee members. We stopped Janssen and the Governor last year, we will stop them again from committing civil violence to the mothers and their unborn Innocents!

If prenatal care is voted down tomorrow, then we will take this as a sign from the universe that the pro life movement is dwindling within the Republican party. The midwest is as Republican as it gets and we look forward to seeing “life” win.

Make no mistake, we will be hawkish with regard to the National Right to Life and the Nebraska Right to Lifers to see how they are going to handle lawmakers who claim to be pro life but do what is in their power to eliminate prenatal care to the unborn.

Last session, senators voted 30-16 to override Gov. Dave Heineman’s veto of a bill (LB599) that restored funding for prenatal coverage to low-income women, many of them undocumented, who lost Medicaid coverage for prenatal care in 2010.

The override caused conflict for lawmakers who label themselves pro-life but also oppose people being in the United States illegally.

Heineman said at the time that “providing preferential treatment to illegals while increasing taxes on legal Nebraska citizens is misguided, misplaced and inappropriate.”

The override so infuriated Heineman that he cited that as a reason for campaigning before the November election against a ballot measure that would have given lawmakers a raise. The measure was rejected by voters.

The Guardian UK is a well read newspaper in our Nation and I was proud to chime in on a discussion panel of women as it relates to the topic of Mitt Romney and his “binders of women.”

I was happy to address what has been burning in my heart – and, as a woman who proudly served in our Armed Forces as a bomb dog handler … I believe it is time for women to be part of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Let’s break that glass ceiling.

We need to pick our battles more carefully as it relates to war, and since many of us have children of our own who could be drafted, then I believe we should be part of the strategic decisions.

You can read the entire discussion here, and was amongst 6 other women who contributed to the panel. Here is my contribution:

It will be very hard for Mitt Romney to improve his image with women voters because he has reversed his stance on the pro-choice/pro-life issue too many times. His reversals make him appear like a populist politician driven by polls. Remember, Romney gave an oath to protect a woman’s right to choose until he decided to run under the Republican presidential ticket. How can a pro-choice woman trust Romney after he went back on his word? On the other hand, how can a pro-life woman trust him when his campaign recently stated that abortion “should be an option” in certain cases?

In order for Romney to garner the trust of women voters, he will have to pick a side and stick with it to the end, else mistrust will continue to pile up. Right now, women do not know what his real conviction on the issue, and we become much more considerate of politicians who stick to their convictions. As it stands, we still do not know where his heart is really at.

A woman has never served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS); therefore, any president promoting women to the JCS within his first 100 days would give many of us a sigh of relief and encouragement. So many women in the US are related to sons, daughters or relatives currently serving our armed forces, and we are feeling apprehensive and pressure with regard to the multiple wars we have been engaged in. It would be helpful knowing that more women are part of the “advisory committee”, which helps plan joint operations and resolutions of military problems because, as it stands, there appears to be too much testosterone fueling those key decisions. It would be helpful for us to see balance at a strategic leadership level.

DeeDee Garcia Blase: ‘[Romney] will have to pick a side and stick with it to the end’

Nebraska Governor Heineman is attacking baby and prenatal care again, but this time he is threatening to opposes lawmaker pay raise.

Here’s the story:

Heineman opposes lawmaker pay raise because of veto override

Will lawmakers choose the protection of life and compassionate acts? Or will the the Nebraska lawmakers choose money?

Time will tell, and we will record who stands on the right side of American history as it relates to the treatment of fellow man. Either you believe all men were created equal or you don’t.

A little background on a previous story we wrote about the Nebraska Governor:

Gov. Dave Heineman is no Christian Compassionate person as he bullies women and children again. Emulates Arizona Governor.

I’ve known for some time that the Republican Party has been corrupted with bigotry via FAIR and the John Tanton network. The Tanton network has certain states within their sites and control, and now Nebraska is on their radar.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) is an anti-immigration ‘movement,’ that began by one man, John Tanton. Tanton was the organizer and President of the Northern Michigan Planned Parenthood Association between 1965-1971, and in 1975 he wrote The Case for Passive Eugenics where his letters and memos are a public collection at the Bentley Historical Library. Tanton has clear connections to Pioneer Fund and Numbers USA where Pioneer Fund’s eugenic ideas (selective breeding of humans) supported a variety of institutions that legitimize race “science”, including the journal Mankind Quarterly, which today is published by long-time eugenicist, anti-Semite and Pioneer grant recipient Roger Pearson.

There are Republicans who claim to be pro life but are not. For those who don’t know about John Tanton, he is anti-semitic, anti-immigrant and anti-everything. The Republican Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman is at it again with attacking women and children again. This is the same so called “pro lifer” who

tried to attack birth right citizenship under the 14th Amendment of our Constitution of the United States via NE LB 599.

State can restore prenatal care to undocumented moms

Now he is at it again.

The Nebraska Governor not only will be bullying Deferred Action (DACA) beneficiaries but also VAWA (women victims of domestic abuse) beneficiaries with his recent proclamation in denying driver licenses to some Nebraska residents. FULL STORY HERE>>>

Could it be that the pro life movement is not dead? Just when I was beginning to think the pro life movement was dying, Rick Santorum’s pick up truck and shoe string budget campaign was able to muscle it’s way against Mitt Romney’s million dollar campaign.

The pro life movement has lost a lot of influence….but it is the middle class pro life voters who didn’t hand the elections to Mitt Romney like he had hoped. Much of Rick Santorum’s campaign was saved by the true pro lifers. We have noticed Mitt Romney avoiding his flip flopping pro life history like the plague, and now Rick has the opportunity to reveal Romney’s past. Die hard pro lifers remember Mitt Romney’s oathe to protect a woman’s right to choose. If Rick wants to lead a serious campaign, he must get the 80% consistent pro life GOP primary voters into his corner.

From the NEW YORK TIMES:

On caucus night, Rick Santorum was at the Stoney Creek Inn near Des Moines. He ran in Iowa with a small advertising budget and no speechwriter. More Photos »

DES MOINES — Former Senator Rick Santorum’s campaign in Iowa conducted no polls or focus groups, employed no speechwriter and had no security presence until a few days ago. “We don’t have a bunch of guys with earpieces running around doing nothing,” he would boast.

He had a skeletal advertising budget — “You can’t buy Iowa,” he would say, deriding his better-financed rivals — and his campaign disclosure forms included itemized receipts from the likes of Target (“food & beverage” expense, $16.48), Walmart (“event supplies/container,” $4.47) and Priceline.com (“Airfare,” $670.84”).

Pro life groups seem to be losing influence and stayed silent when Republican State lawmakers were attacking Birthright Citizenship / 14th amendment.

Who will win the Iowa Caucus? Will it be Ron Paul? Newt Gingrich? Mitt Romney? Rick Perry?

Iowa is a good leading indicating state to watch because it will tell us whether or not the Pro Life movement and their influence is alive or deadening. We already know that Ron Paul is attacking Mitt Romney on his flip flopping pro choice and pro life views, so who will come out at the top? How strong is the Iowa Right to Life?

Anonymous Text Messages Attack Romney on Abortion in Iowa

Automated anonymous text messages sent to Iowa Republicans just days before they head to their presidential caucuses are telling them that Romney is supposedly not pro-life but relying on outdated quotes to make the claim.

Republicans in Iowa received cell phone text messages yesterday morning, according to MSNBC, saying, “Romney exposed at 2012 caucuses. Romney pro life??”
