Sheriff Joe Arpaio protest changed from Joan of Arc to his Ascension Catholic Church in Fountain Hills this SundayTuesday, July 24th, 2012
We will be protesting Sheriff Joe Arpaio at his Ascension Catholic Church in Fountain Hills this Sunday. Initially we were going to conduct the protest at Saint Joan of Arc, but we will protest Arpaio at the Church of the Ascension.
LOCATION CHANGED: We will be protesting Arpaio beginning at his own church this Sunday beginning at Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hill Catholic Church. We hope to see the Phoenix Diocese intervene in this important matter – more importantly; we hope to see a miracle from our Creator.
DATE: Sunday, July 29, 2012
TIME: 8:00 a.m. and 10: 00 a.m. (Mass for the People)
LOCATION: 12615 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268
Members of the Catholic Church are behind us due to the mysterious Mexican deaths occurring in Arpaio’s prison.
One National Tequila Party Movement member writes us and says:
Click on this link. I think your stance is good. How can the Church stand by and watch what Arpaio is doing when it is clearly against church doctrine. http://old.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect2chpt2.shtml#2245
It is a part of the Church’s mission “to pass moral judgments even in matters related to politics, whenever the fundamental rights of man or the salvation of souls requires it. The means, the only means, she may use are those which are in accord with the Gospel and the welfare of all men according to the diversity of times and circumstances.”53
