President Obama won the hearts of Latinos at NALEO and Reminded them how GOP blocked DREAM Act vote in December 2010Friday, June 22nd, 2012
President Obama won the hearts of Latinos at the NALEO conference and reminded them how the GOP blocked the DREAM Act vote in December 2010. The energy there seemed more positive when Obama spoke and he received more applause than Mitt Romney did when he gave his speech earlier this week.
Romney cannot claim to be Latino-friendly when he made an alliance with Pete Wilson and Kris Kobach who authored most of the anti-immigrant and anti-DREAM Act laws across the Country. Mitt Romney also receives the most favorable rating by the anti-immigrant organization via FAIR that was helped founded by John Tanton, the man who founded Michigan’s Planned Parenthood and appears to loathe Catholics and those of Mexican descent.
“….The audience, largely made up of Latinos, repeatedly applauded, laughed and stood for the president. Romney, the presumptive GOP presidential candidate, spoke at the NALEO conference on Thursday, receiving a warm reception but one far surpassed by the response to Obama…..”
