The Arizona Republic endorsed Dan Saban for Sheriff in 2004 and 2008, too.

Did you know that the Arizona Republic endorsed Dan Saban for Sheriff in 2004 and in 2008?

They wrote:

The former police chief of Buckeye, Saban has more than three decades of law-enforcement experience in Arizona, most of it with the Mesa Police Department, which he departed as a commander, functionally in charge of hundreds of department personnel.

Saban last ran against Arpaio in 2004 – a Republican primary despoiled by many of the same rancid and twisted personal accusations recently resurrected by Arpaio’s functionaries in the Republican Party. The strength of character it takes to march, yet again, through that gauntlet of personal vilification says volumes about Saban. He’s standing up to the sheriff’s toadies.

Despite his foibles, Joe Arpaio enjoys great popularity. He has money and notoriety. In many respects, he is bigger than life.

What is the difference between 2008 Democratic candidate Dan Saban and Democratic candidate Paul Penzone?

Dan Saban was an actual police chief, while Penzone was a mere sergeant.  According to personnel records, Penzone only managed 6 employees as a sergeant.  In order to beat the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio, one must have the field operations experience, detention experience, and certainly leadership experience.

To run for public servant, one must not have an abusive history,  and unfortunately for Penzone, he has a domestic violence history and report in his background.

What is the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio capable of?

My Libertarian Republican sources recently  told me that days before the GOP primary election, Sheriff Joe Arpaio conducted robo-calls on behalf of Vernon Parker — which gave him an edge over Martin Sepulveda and Wendy Rogers.  If this is true, we will expect Arpaio to launch predicted attacks with regard to Penzone’s domestic violence history days before the early ballots hit the mailboxes around October 13, 2012.

This is precisely why I am supporting Mike Stauffer for sheriff. Joe Arpaio cannot attack Mike Stauffer because Stauffer has no skeletons in his closet, and Arpaio cannot afford to anger the Independent voters in light of our mobilization due to Prop 121.

The surging Independents in Arizona and in Maricopa County include pissed off voters who are tired of partisanship — and partisanship politics does not belong in the Maricopa County Sheriff Office race.

Here is the video that the corrupt Sheriff Joe Arpaio launched against Saban below, and we predict Arpaio will attempt to woo the woman voters come early October 2012 in light of Paul Penzone’s domestic violence history.

This is where Mike Stauffer can to win over moderate Republicans, Libertarian Republicans and the Independent voter on why partisanship does not belong in the Sheriff’s office.  Stauffer can win it on this message alone.   We thoroughly plan on Arpaio launching similar Saban attacks on Penzone right before the early ballots hit the mailboxes. If Paul Penzone truly wants to come clean about his domestic violence incident where his wife told the Glendale Police Department that Penzone shoved her into the doorway, he ought to apologize to her.
