Mike Stauffer receives key endorsement while Democratic Penzone operatives botch up simple math
Friday, July 6th, 2012Independent candidate Mike Stauffer for Sheriff (Joe Arpaio’s strongest opponent) received a key endorsement this week
from the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS)! This is the county’s second largest law enforcement association in AZ with 90 statewide law enforcement members, and the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association (POSA)!
We are excited about this key endorsement!
While the Democratic Maricopa County leader, Ann Wallack and her operatives for Paul Penzone continue to botch up the Joe Arpaio key election — Mike Stuaffer jumps ahead with reasonable thinking people who support him. It was laughable to hear that Penzone supporters could not do basic simple math and this is why the Penzone operatives conceded and dropped their pathetic lawsuit against Mike Stauffer. They couldn’t do basic simple math then — and they can’t do simple math now because everyone in Maricopa County knows that our county swings conservatively.
I am not surprised that Wallack would back a mere sergeant (Paul Penzone) to run the 3rd largest county sheriff’s department in the Country. Can you believe that? Apparently she didn’t get the “Tea Party” memo that Penzone is the easiest one to beat and he will merely serve as a spoiler vote in this key election. Asking Penzone (mere sergeant experience with no command / leadership experience) is like asking a sergeant to be the base commander to run an entire military installation. No surprise to hear that the Democratic Party leadership has failed to support a strong candidate against Arpaio — heck, the Democratic Party leadership has had 20 years to try and remove Arpaio to NO AVAIL.
Hopefully the Democratic voters of Maricopa County will see through Ann Wallack’s tactics as she has already ticked off several Democratic voters for hand choosing candidates before the Democratic primary election. She is the epitome of an elitist who thinks her decisions are smarter than your average Democratic voter.
From the Mike Stauffer campaign:
We are pleased to report a very successful campaign week. The week started off with the Penzone operatives conceding to a very botched and desperate lawsuit to have Stauffer removed from the November ballot. As mentioned in a previous note, their method of campaigning is quite in line with our current sheriff. Interestingly enough, just this week a Supreme Court judge stated “We the people, not the courts, are responsible for our political choices.” We know you couldn’t agree more!
On Wednesday, Stauffer was honored to receive and accept the endorsement of the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS), the county’s second largest law enforcement association in AZ with 90 statewide law enforcement members, and the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association (POSA). This endorsement is not only a professional nod of approval, but an endorsement of Stauffer’s unquestionable ability by law enforcement from around the state to lead Maricopa County as our next Sheriff.
The week came to a close with a debate on Thursday hosted by Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association, Stauffer announcing his retirement after 29 years in law enforcement, and numerous other events bringing many new supporters who know that “It’s Time!”
Thanks to everyone across the county for your unwavering support. Have a great weekend.
