Today, the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) and APA are endorsing Sheriff Joe Arapio. Make a note that the PLEA would not even endorse one of their own former Phoenix law enforcement officers who is the Democratic Candidate. Unfortunately, Democratic Arizona voters are only 29% of Maricopa County voters. (There are 36% registered Republicans, and 35% registered independents that now make up the 2nd largest voter bloc in Maricopa County and in the State of Arizona). That said, Mike Stauffer received two key endorsement from the law enforcement community, too, via AZCOPS and POSA.

It appears the law enforcement community sees two real candidates in our County.

From the Mike Stauffer campaign:

With the endorsement of Mike Stauffer by the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS) and the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association (POSA), and the Phoenix officers association and APA endorsing Arpaio, the law enforcement community in Arizona has weighed in on who they think the race for Maricopa County Sheriff is between.
