Where Is My Recall? — The Fleecing of Arizonans Regarding Failed Recall Joe Arpaio Effort (Jewish – Chicano show)Monday, June 3rd, 2013
Angel Garcia is a progressive Democrat and community organizer.
He made an important observation when he wrote:
“Hey Respect Arizona (or is it Citizens for a Better Arizona) I wonder where the “Thank You” is for all the hard work your VOLUNTEERS did! Why didn’t you post a simple thank you on the front page of your website?”
Randy Parraz & Co are getting criticized for the their constant asking for donations.
Where did the $1.3 million dollar pledged donations go?
We all know that the Sign Here Petition company [many election campaigns use here locally] charge about $1.00 for a signature. The recall Arpaio effort needed approximately 335,317 valid signatures.
So what went wrong?
Why do organizations need money when it is free to call Congress asking them to support legal immigration reform that will in essence clip Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s wings?
Who stands to benefit from these recalls?
Why not support a FEDERAL LAW that is needed since immigration is protected under the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution?
The solution is at the FED level. The solution is not tapping into local community resources where the Arizona economy has already suffered from immigration scares. We must support immigration reform.
The world’s first Jewish – Chicano radio show elaborates below:
IN THE FIRST HALF: Lou and Viva speculate on why the recall failed; Viva recognizes that the recall might have been initiated too soon and that the community might have been distracted away from the reality of how people have been treated but , instead, given the unrealistic goal of recalling an official too soon after an election; Lou plays a clip of Randy Parraz, President of the Citizens for a Better Arizona, asking a question to three of the candidates for Sheriff at the debate held at Los Abigados before the Primary Election of 2012; Panelists Gail (the Bohemian Activist) and DeeDee Blasé (President of Somos Independents) join in and state how they were “fleeced” by Parraz/CBA/Respect Arizona; the lack of transparency is compared to Tea Party groups; the covering up of awareness of the impending failure of the recall and when it was known; possible by-products of the failed recall (legislation, recall fever); analysis of the excuses of Randy Parraz; the percentage cut of Randy Parraz – the “Organizational Consultant” in the recall of Russell Pearce; an editorial by Bobby Hernandez.
IN THE SECOND HALF: Why the petitions were shredded; donations of the volunteers; since when is “Losing” Winning?; the exploitation of the DREAMers in Team Awesome; Angel Garcia, Community Activist, calls in; Randy Parraz took 30% in consulting fees in the recall of Russell Pearce; Angel talks about the hypocrisy of Parraz ejecting Angel from a CBA event; the lack of transparency of Lilia Alvarez; the responsibility of anyone donating to a non-profit organization; the hypocrisy surrounding the use of paid petition gatherers; the value of Comprehensive Immigration Reform; Does Randy Parraz need Joe Arpaio? (This show originated out of KFNX Studios, Phoenix, Arizona, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, on May 26, 2013)
