Richard Carmona as our next U.S. Senator. Thank you Congressman Jeff Flake for your service in your many years as a Representative, but you have served us long enough, and we don’t support career politicians. At one point you also agreed with term limits, and we hope you understand why many of us still believe in term limits. Career politicians simply lose touch with the average and ordinary American, and please understand and know that when you voted against youth and students via the DREAM Act — you broke our hearts. Now… it is time for a fresh perspective … and a man who will lead at the Hill with an independent mindset. We cannot afford to succumb to tea party extremism anymore because it is time for our Nation to heal and work in a bipartisanship fashion.

Richard Carmona served our Armed Forces and was willing to put his life on the line for our Nation. Carmona has our Nation’s best interest.

Arizona Independent registered voters should eliminate career politicians and do some fact checking on the U.S. Senate race between Jeff Flake and Richard Carmona. Indeed the career politician via Jeff Flake stated he was for term limits before he decided to be against it. In fact, Wil Cardon (his Republican opponent in the GOP primary) exposed Jeff Flake via a political video that can be seen here.

Furthermore, it was the Republican primary candidate via Wil Cardon who asked Jeff Flake multiple times for Congressman Flake to stop relying on special interest dollars and sign the Arizona First Pledge.

Debunking career politician Jeff Flake’s budget myths.

Jeff Flake refused to sign the Arizona First Pledge.

As an independent voter, I am disgusted with extremists and fringe groups. I am tired of do-nothing career politicians and it is time to vote in a politician who has a bipartisanship record like Richard Carmona.

We have also watched Flake evolve for populist results in this key election year when he tried to paint himself as a Libertarian, however, he is far from being Libertian-esque. We’ve already got a Libertarian running for U.S. Senate and his name is Marc J. Victor.

Over this past weekend, Flake recently sent out a mass mailer to Arizonans with regard to his attack on Richard Carmona and the budget deficits (see photo to the right); However, what Flake purposely leaves out is:

In 2002: Flake Voted to Increase the National Debt By $450 Billion. In 2002, Rep. Flake voted for passage of the bill that would increase the public debt limit by approximately $450 billion. The bill passed 215-214. [S 2578, Vote 279, 6/27/02]

In 2003: Flake Voted to Raise the Debt Ceiling to $7.384 Trillion. In 2003, Rep. Flake voted for the conference report on the concurrent resolution that would set broad spending and revenue targets over the next 10 years. The agreement would allow a tax cut of up to $550 billion to be protected by reconciliation rules. On April 11, 2003 pursuant to Rule XXVII, H.J. Res. 51 was deemed to have passed the House as a result of the adoption by the House and the Senate of the conference report for H. Con. Res. 95, the FY 2004 Budget Resolution. That resolution raised the public debt ceiling to $7,384,000,000. [CRS Report, Votes on Measures to Adjust the Statutory Debt Limit, 1978 to Present, 5/10/11; H Con Res 95, Vote 141, 4/11/03]

In 2004: Flake Voted To Increase The National Debt Limit By $700 Billion. In 2004, Rep. Flake voted for a procedural motion that included a roughly $700 billion debt limit increase. The provision inserted into a popular Defense spending bill allowed supporters to sidestep a direct vote on boosting the legal limit on government borrowing, then at $7.4 trillion. Congress approved a $984 billion debt ceiling boost in May 2003, the largest ever, without a stand-along vote, and a $450 billion increase in June 2002. Before that, the cap was not increased since 1997. The measure passed 221-197. [HR 4613, Vote 284, 6/22/04; CQ Today, 6/23/04; AP, 6/22/04]

In 2004: Flake Voted To Increase The National Debt Limit By $800 Billion. In 2004, Rep. Flake voted to raise the federal debt limit by $800 billion to $8.18 trillion. The Washington Post reported, “By passing such a huge increase in the debt limit, with no strings attached, Congress has effectively given the Bush administration a blank check to continue running large deficits, said Stephen S. Roach, chief economist at Morgan Stanley. ‘An open-ended license for this kind of fiscal irresponsibility is a recipe for disaster,’ he said.” The bill was adopted 208-204. [S 2986, Vote 536, 11/18/04; Washington Post, 11/19/04]

Do you really want to know who Jeff Flake as told by Republican Wil Cardon? Wil Cardon exposed flake on not creating one job, being involved in special interest groups and etc. I did find one mistake in the political ad because in my view, Jeff Flake does not support legal Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Flake voted against children and students via the DREAM Act vote of December 2010 — even though most Arizonans support the DREAM Act and our youth.

Below is a video that was created by Republican Wil Cardon with regard to career politician Jeff Flake:

It’s time to vote out the former lobbyist(s) and career politicians who have been living on the government dole too long. Heck, even the Arizona Republican candidate Wil Cardon called out Jeff Flake in this story below, and it appears Wil can’t stomach his own colleague.

Aren’t you tired of Jeff Flake living off the government dole while he attacks the elderly who depend on medicare and medicaid and any other kind of care that helps the elderly and the poor? He doesn’t have to worry about his future because he receives retirement funded by tax payer dollars. Indeed I do have a bone to pick with Jeff Flake since he voted against veterans and those who put their money where their mouth is regarding the defense of our Nation. What do you expect? I’m a veteran, too, who proudly served my country. Richard Carmona also proudly served our country.

From Wil Cardone:

– Congressman Jeff Flake has traveled the world and enjoyed lavish vacations thanks to his Washington special interests and lobbyist buddies. On Tuesday Wil Cardon, Mesa businessman and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, unveiled his latest web video detailing Congressman Flake’s posh worldwide travel paid for by Washington lobbyists and special interest groups.

Cardon has also launched a new website, www.DCFlake.com, which will house all things related to Congressman Flake’s dismal record in Congress. While most of Congressman Flake’s record has been fighting for [Cuban] amnesty, pushing cap and trade legislation, enjoying taxpayer perks and living the high life with his insider D.C. status, it is clear to Arizona that Congressman Flake has Potomac Fever!

As an independent registered Arizona voter, I believe career politicians ought to have term limits. We are sick and tired of career politicians like the former Congressman Jeff Flake who did not work in a bipartisan fashion on issues important to Americans because he was busy toeing the extreme Tea Party line.

Here is the thing though …. Wil Cardon, his Republican opponent accused Jeff Flake for lying about Flake’s term limit pledge.

Indeed Flake flaked out on another promise, and it’s time for Arizonans to see Flake retire.

Here’s more on how Jeff Flake lied about the pledge he made below for populist reasons:

The spot alleges Flake broke his self-imposed three term term limit.

The commercial even features a clip of of the Congressman explaining why.

According to the footage attributed to Reason.tv , Flake responds with “I lied” when asked about the term limit pledge.

Needless to say, that part of the ad’s claim is fact.

While a spokesperson says Flake was just joking about lying, he does concede Flake pledged to only serve three terms in Congress.

Flake now considers that pledge a mistake. Read more: http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region_phoenix_metro/central_phoenix/fact-check-wil-cardons-attack-on-flake#ixzz27mLZ3fLi

As an Independent registered vote, I am particularly leery of shirtless politicians who pretend to be good public servants, and I especially have a problem with politicians who are more concerned about their image as they are more driven by polls these days instead of hammering issues in a bipartisanship way.

I repeat: We are now entering an era in which American voters are supporting public servants who want to take care of issues — and not worry about the polls and their image. We want issue driven people … not Party partisanship as Flake has displayed recently.

Jeff Flake is not a moderate politician, and I for one am ready for effective change to take place in Arizona and at the Hill. We are so tired of the old and mundane career politicians, and I for one am a big believer in term limits. We thank Jeff Flake for his many years in Washington, but it is time for something new. We want and need someone who has a proven bipartisanship track record, and unfortunately, Jeff Flake doesn’t cut the cake.

Do Arizonans want another shirtless at the Hill? Or, do we want someone who will act like the public servant / elected official that he is and put Americans first.
