Woman-led National Tequila Party Endorses Sen. Aguirre for Congress
Monday, July 30th, 2012National Tequila Party Endorses Sen. Aguirre for Congress
Phoenix, AZ—The female-led, non-partisan Tequila Party is endorsing Senator Amanda Aguirre (D-AZ) in District 3’s contested primary race against incumbent Raul Grijalva. The National Tequila Party Movement is now rallying the Latino community to get out and vote for Sen. Aguirre on August 28th.
Brandon L. Maxwell commented, “As the fastest growing demographic in this country, we believe it is imperative that Latinos understand the power they wield at the ballot box. Together we can make a difference!”
Foundress and Co-President, DeeDee Garcia Blase is encouraging all Independents and women voters to consider Amanda Aguirre according to a recent article in the Tucson Citizen (July 28, 2012):
“I discovered what an amazing woman she is being the Arizona Senator who was instrumental in helping women with breast cancer get screening since 1994. She also began a café to help domestic violence women victims empower themselves with job skills in an effort to get off welfare programs… Every Arizona independent registered voter—(particularly women) ought to look at [Aguirre’s] biography.”
If Aguirre wins, she would be the first Latina Congresswoman elected from Arizona, a state where more women than men vote. Isn’t it about time we have a Representative in Congress that actually represents us?
