Report says kin need more help with foster kids
Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012The relatives who stepped up to care for these kids -- so-called kinship caregivers -- are more likely to be poor, single, older, less educated and unemployed than traditional families, according to the report, released today by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Even so, the vast majority of those kids get little or no support from the state.
