The Chairman of the Pima County Democrats, Jeff “Disagree With Me and I’ll Tar and Feather You” Rogers, stepped in it big time last week on the one year anniversary of the Civility Era when he called for elected officials to be tarred and feathered because their views differed from his.

Well, the Arizona Daily Star actually called him out as a hypocrite on the subject of civility–wonders never cease. Rogers’ reaction was that since he speaking metaphorically,...

If you didn’t have the chance to hear Debbie Wasserman Schultz on the John C. Scott Show Monday, you missed a touching tribute to Civility.
She spoke for about ten minutes with the host about how upon Giffords stepping down from Congress that we need now strive to be more civil. She said that we need to find common ground. But she didn’t stop there, she really laid it on thick and heavy. She said we need to “redouble our efforts” for civility. To work through dif...

Tar and Feather? Is that one Hispanic or two he wants to tar and feather? “Unfit” to live here if you don’t agree with him? Certainly doesn’t seem to be a very good example of ideological or racial diversity. Don’t see a lot of working to find common ground or compromise there. A “stunning lack of understanding” of Civility from Mr. Rogers.
That’s some old-school narrow minded bigotry there.
You remember “Civility”. Pima ...

You can draw your own conclusions but the Arizona Daily Star used noticeably different adjectives in describing two fringe perennial candidates for political office upon the passing of each, as seen below. Both news articles were published in the Star’s proclaimed Era of Civility.
The two fringe candidates were on opposite ends of the spectrum. Joe Sweeney fought to end illegal immigration, Lorenzo Torrez was a Communist.
The Star took it upon themselves to mischaracterize Sweeney in their...

East Valley Congressional candidate Travis Grantham (R) has adjusted his sights from the new CD 5 (Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek) to the newly created CD 9 (Phoenix, Tempe, west Chandler).
Kyrsten Sinema (D) resigned from the state senate earlier this month to pursue the CD 9 seat. Few other Republicans have shown interest in District 9.
Grantham’s announcement coupled with Chuck Gray’s withdraw, sets up a face-off between the establishment favorite Kirk Adams (R) and conservative Matt ...

The Arizona Congressional delegation split their votes Wednesday night on the Defense Authorization Act. The bill contains a controversial provision that allows the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens while they are in this country.
Arizona representatives did not split their votes along party lines. Congressmen Jeff Flake (R), Paul Gosar (R), Raul Grijalva (D), and David Schweikert (R) voted against the bill. Reps Trent Franks (R), Ed Pastor (D), and Ben Quayle (R) voted for the legislation w...

“Who are we as adults to judge what the youth are interested in? We’re teaching kids that wouldn’t otherwise take an art class.”–Regina Romero’s words when asked if she thought graffiti was art when she funded graffiti classes with city money.
Gila Courier presents the Keynes Demand Stimulation Award to Tucson Councilwoman Regina Romero. Romero, who is about to be re-elected to another four year term, ”invested” a mere $8,000 into graffiti training and ...

Well, there Raul Grijalva goes again! The guy can’t help himself. He hates Arizona and he wants to AGAIN punish his own constituents to further his radical liberal agenda. He must have forgotten his close call from Ruth McClung last year and he must be feeling pretty comfortable with his new district map.
The plank of his radical liberal agenda he is promoting now? The audacity of a junior college to have admission standards! And what are these “harsh” standards? ...
