IRS Scandal Is Focus of Public Outrage

In an ominous sign for the Obama White House, thousands of Tea Party patriots will gather on the west lawn of the Capitol Wednesday to protest the IRS assault on conservative groups and donors.

Organizers of the event have billed it as the largest Tea Party protest since 2010 when conservatives captured the House from Democrats after passage of Obamacare and months of runaway federal spending that started with the so-called stimulus bill in early 2009.

“A...

Congress Wants out of Obamacare

Friday, June 14th, 2013

Lawmakers and Staff Fear High Premiums

Members of the House and Senate and their aides are scrambling to avoid skyrocketing health insurance premiums anticipated when Obamacare takes effect on January 1.

Rumors are swirling on Capitol Hill that without a waiver from Obamacare, lawmakers and their staffs will quit Congress amid a growing fear that they cannot afford higher premiums.

Lawmakers and their staffs are accustomed to a generous federal health insurance plan that subsidizes nearly 75 per...

The Top 20 Obama Administration Scandals

Wednesday, June 12th, 2013

Only five months into President Obama’s second term, the administration’s scandal rap sheet continues to grow.

It’s a long list compiled since Obama took office in 2009; it’s a fast-moving drama as well.

Just this week we learned of another scandal with reports of a State Department cover-up of alleged misconduct by the department’s security forces.

Keith Koffler of the White House Dossier recently published a summary of the administration’s misdoings under the headline, “The Top T...

The IRS and Your Health

Tuesday, June 11th, 2013

As Americans watch congressional hearings on the Internal Revenue Service, they should ask themselves what this enormously powerful, corrupt, politically motivated agency might do with its new job of administering ObamaCare.

We have heard testimony from those whose tax exemption was delayed or denied, or who underwent abusive audits, or faced seizure of their accumulated earnings, apparently because someone viewed them as opponents to the Powers.

The people who are testifying are obviously still...

The IRS and Obamacare, by the Numbers

Monday, June 10th, 2013

Helpful and disturbing numbers from Heritage:

18New taxes in Obamacare, including 12 that directly violate then-Senator Barack Obama’s “firm pledge” to those making under $250,000 per year that he would not “raise any of your taxes.”

47—New provisions Obamacare charges the IRS with implementing, according to the Government Accountability Office.

$695Tax for not buying “government-approved” health insurance the IRS will be charged with enforcing on all Americans.

Deploying the “People’s Veto”

Tuesday former Arizona State Senators Frank Antenori and Ron Gould  formed a committee named “The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives,” or URAPC. The committee was formed for the purpose of stopping Obamacare and its associated Tax on hospital stays. Defeating Governor Brewer’s ill-conceived and unconstitutional legislation must be referred to the ballot so it can be vetoed by the people of Arizona.

U.S. Created 175,000 Jobs in May, Unemployment up to 7.6%

MarketWatch reports, “The U.S. created 175,000 jobs in May in a sign that the economy continues to grow at a moderate pace despite higher taxes, federal spending cuts and a weak global economy. The unemployment rate ticked up to 7.6% from 7.5%, the Labor Department said Friday, as more people entered the labor force in search of work. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch expected an increase of 164,000 jobs...

Delegating the Blame

Friday, June 7th, 2013

Until the current administration came along, never in American history had so many people claimed to be taking responsibility without taking even the least little bit.  Some leaders take pride in knowing how to delegate responsibility.  Obama and his crew only know how to delegate blame.

It’s been a while, but surely you recall that when we heard about the Justice Department funneling guns to Mexican drug cartels, Attorney General Eric Holder swore he had no idea who green-lighted Operation ...

Everything You Need to Know About Obama in One Minute

Jim Bridenstine tells it like it is on the House floor

Most freshman Congressman toil in obscurity, tending to their districts, casting votes, and occupying the lowest rung on the ladder in committees.

Not so Jim Bridenstine, freshman from Oklahoma’s First Congressional District. In one minute on the House floor earlier this week (video below), he captured national attention with a summary statement on President Obama’s long list of scandals and mismanagement.

Bridenstine’s conclusion: The...

Polls: Uninsured Not Impressed With Obamacare, May Not Sign Up

Less Than Half Think They’ll Get Better Healthcare

Obamacare could be facing its biggest challenge of all before the program goes into effect next year – – the people it is meant to help the most may not even want it.

A national survey reported Monday that nearly two-thirds of Americans who currently lack health insurance do not yet know if they will purchase coverage through Obamacare by January 1, the deadline set by the law.

If the uninsured fail to purchase health insurance by January ...

Both Conservatives and Liberals under Assault

Tuesday, June 4th, 2013

Government scandals are almost a daily occurrence in America these days. From the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups to the Justice Department’s confiscation of media outlets’ phone records and emails, the overreaching of officials has been truly breathtaking. These scandals affect all Americans.

By now the Treasury Inspector General’s report outlining the damning evidence that the IRS targeted certain groups seeking non-profit status from 2010 to 2012 is ubiquitous. But around the s...

Has GOP the steel to repeal liberty-stealing Obamacare after IRS stole election?

Monday, June 3rd, 2013

Predictions that Obamacare would cause private health insurance premiums to soar fueled the 2010 tea partier-fueled landslide mid-term election that returned control of the U.S. House of Representatives to Republicans. Sadly, the GOP had been thwarted in its effort to prevent enactment of the Orwellian-titled “Affordable Care Act” earlier that year, despite the special election that replaced the late-Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) with Republican Scott Brown as the self-described 41st vot...

Obama sees nothing!

Generally, when it comes to White House scandals such as Watergate and Iran-Contra, the relevant questions are what the president knew and when he knew it.  However, when it comes to Obama and Benghazi; the monitoring of the AP reporters; the targeting of Fox’s James Rosen; and the IRS’s intimidation of conservative groups; the questions appear to be what did Obama not know and when did he not know it?

Again, most presidents want to at least appear to be on top of things...

The Keystone Pipeline: Obama’s Biggest Domestic Decision of the Second Term

Sunday, June 2nd, 2013

John Kerry on the Hot Seat

Like Obamacare and immigration reform, major decisions made in the White House are more like politics than well-intentioned public policy. The president’s upcoming decision on the Keystone Pipeline is no different.

President Obama

In spite of his lofty rhetoric, Obamacare has little to do with providing healthcare access to the uninsured. It is really about the Democratic Party’s century-old dream of taking healthcare out of the private sector and placing it in the hands of big g...

ObamaCare “Bending the Cost Curve” … Up

A study by a Democratic research group has found “[h]ealth insurance costs will rise up to 25 percent for individuals who buy coverage on their own in 2014 under” President Obama’s health care law. ObamaCare sure is “bending the cost curve” – just in the wrong direction. According to POLITICO Pro:

The study found that average premiums will rise between 5 percent and 25 percent in the individual market and between 6 percent and 12 p...

#TrainWreck: ObamaCare a Boon for the IRS, Bust for Everyone Else

Thursday, May 30th, 2013

Fully repealing President Obama’s health care law is a key part of the GOP plan for economic growth and jobs. But you don’t need us to tell you why scrapping the law would be good for our economy and good for the American people. Recent news reports make it pretty clear that ObamaCare really is a complete and total train wreck for just about everyone, and that it needs to go before it does more damage:

  • “Like your health care policy? You may be losing it”: Because of ObamaCare, ...

Hunger Games, HMO Style

Thursday, May 30th, 2013

“Coverage” under Obamacare will not be the same as “care”

One of my partners, an ear nose and throat surgeon, resigned years ago from a particularly abusive HMO. He said, “never again,” as did all of the reputable ENT surgeons in the area, physicians whose practices were already busy without having to deal with this outfit.

Even though many of the HMOs are long dead and gone from Oklahoma, this particular HMO has lingered on, only to crawl back to this partner of mine...

Collapse of the Obama Agenda

The President’s Top Priorities Fall Flat

While Barack Obama cavorts around the Jersey shore with Chris Christie, back at the White House his administration is engulfed in scandal and the collapse of his second term agenda.

The scandals dominate the headlines. Benghazi, the IRS, and the attorney general’s management of media surveillance will keep the Congress busy throughout the summer and beyond. Investigations abound with serious consequences on the horizon for the president and a host...
