Jodi Arias: “Death is the ultimate freedom” & Update

Thursday, May 9th, 2013

Dramatic murderess waxes eloquent

Convicted murderess Jodi Arias, 32, says in a post conviction interview that she prefers the death penalty to life in prison. In a statement worthy of a theatrical presentation, she grabbed the spotlight — hopefully for the final time – with,“I believe death is the ultimate freedom.”

Arias confessed to the grisly June 4, 2008 killing of her former boyfriend Travis Alexander, 30, in the bathroom of his Mesa, Arizona home. He was found five days...

Two sheriffs: A study in contrasts — Arpaio wins

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

Govt. endorsed snitching raises vast potential for abuse

If you only paid attention to the liberal media’s depiction of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, you’d think the professional lawman had neither a concept of legal parameters nor possessed what is clearly a sterling law enforcement career. In fact, Republican Arpaio is widely respected among the law-abiding citizens who have reelected him to an unprecedented five 4-year terms.

It’s harebrained Democrat Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric...

Bi-partisan acknowledgment that the nation’s legal immigration system is also in need of repair

Earlier this week, as the nation was still reeling, trying to absorb the grisly aftermath of the Boston marathon bombings, Ann Coulter wrote a cogent column titled: The  problem isn’t just illegal immigration, it’s legal immigration, too. Coulter’s fact-filled commentary is our “Weekend reading guaranteed to make you smarter” recommendation.

West, Texas disaster a regulatory failure

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

West,TXThe West Fertilizer Co. explosion in West, Texas last week put an exclamation point on the need for government safety regulations and enforcement. The "free market" philosophy of no regulations and the mythical honor system imposed by the market place gets people killed.

This company appears to have pushed the envelope to see how much it could get away with -- and due to lax regulations and enforcement by "business friendly" Texas regulatory agencies, it got away with qu...

Rand Paul down with using drones to summarily execute American citizens

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

Just last month the village idiot Aqua Buddha, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), led a filibuster against the notion of using drones on American soil. Wingnuttia went wild with "I Stand with Rand" hashtags on twitter, fund raising emails, and even a line of merchandize online. There was a brief "Paul bump" in Beltway media villager speculation about 2016.

So this is fun. On Monday, Aqua Buddha told FAUX News that he is down with using drones on American soil and using them to summar...

Kolbe: Include same-sex foreign partners in amnesty

It was bound to happen

Amnesty. Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Whatever the incarnation, the numbers are not static. In addition to rolling out the red carpet to at least 25 million illegally in our country, are the issues of birthright citizenship and chain migration — affording relatives the ability to coattail. Criminality is as problematic as the exorbitant costs involved in providing education and social service benefits to those who disregard our laws. All developed nations have i...

Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham: Screw the Constitution

Sunday, April 21st, 2013

Remember just a few weeks ago when the right-wing was all in a tizzy about the village idiot Aqua Buddha, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), and his filibuster of the nomination of John Brennan for CIA Director over the use of drones in the U.S.? There was a lot of highfalutin talk from these right-wingers about the constitutional rights of American citizens on American soil -- when they thought they were talking about far-right fringe groups like white supremacists, Christian nati...

Boston reacts to the capture of the Marathon bomber

Boston rejoiced after news of the capture of the Marathon bomber. It reminded me of the celebration after their beloved Red Sox won the 2004 World Series and ended the curse of the Bambino after 86 years. It's famously been said that "Boston cares about three things: sports, politics and revenge." These terrorists picked the wrong friggin' city! Video below the fold.

Religion of Peace update

Police have announced Boston Marathon murder suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, is in custody. His brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, was killed in a furious attempt to escape police. During a long night of violence Thursday into Friday, the brothers killed MIT police officer Sean Collier, 26, severely wounded another lawman and hurled explosives at police in a car chase and gun battle, in which at least 200 rounds were fired, authorities said. Foreign nationals exploit IRS loophole: Additional Child Tax Credit

Yesterday, April 18, marked the 108th day of 2013, or Tax Freedom Day — as calculated by the Tax Foundation.  That is the day, four months into the year, when Americans have finally earned enough income to pay the tab for all federal, state, and local taxes for 2013. In the simplest of terms, that means you”ve been working from New Year’s Eve until mid-April just to pay your taxes. With that hard fact in mind, w...

Update on Boston Marathon bombing

Tuesday, April 16th, 2013

I really hate doing breaking news stories because the media invariably gets so much wrong. While I checked multiple sources yesterday, even multiple sourcing proved to be wrong. Even Boston's police chief got it wrong in his first press conference.

So here is the latest update from the Boston Globe today correcting earlier reporting. Investigators find bomb circuit board:

Investigators combing through the aftermath of the deadly Boston Marathon terrorist attack have rec...

It’s time to hold the architects of illegal torture accountable for their crimes

NurembergCan we seat a Nuremberg Tribunal-style panel of judges now to hold the architects of illegal torture accountable for their crimes in the name of America? (Statutes of limitations do not apply to war crimes).

The New York Times today reports  "A nonpartisan, independent review of interrogation and detention programs in the years after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks concludes that 'it is indisputable that the United States engaged in the practice of torture' and ...

More good people coming to do the work Americans refuse to do

In his revealing, must-read 2-page report, The Daily Caller’s Neil Munro details the “Many loopholes hidden in the immigration bill” being shepherded by Arizonans John McCain and Jeff Flake, doing Obama’s work in collusion with the Gang of 8 gangsters. McCain admits it’s “not that much different from what we tried to do in 2007.”

Munro’s exposé comes as the reality of the ongoing criminality of those who will...

Infanticide trial ignored: ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC have given zero coverage

Kirsten Powers, a self identified liberal, rightly says, “This clearly should be national news. Liberals want government regulation of every single thing — air, water, animals, (inaudible), banks, you name it” — and, she admits, “I put myself in that category. But they have this one little area where they say ‘no government regulation.’ It doesn’t make any sense, and I think we need to examine that....

McCain: Knife restrictions, mental evaluations next?

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

What would McCain consider as next step in ”curbing violence?”

As John McCain aims to restrict Second Amendment rights in the wake of the Newtown shooting tragedy, the Obama regime is buying up billions of rounds of bullets, to guard against law abiding citizens being able to possess firearms that function.

Yet the most recent attack that seriously wounded at least 14 people — two remain in critical condition — was carried out by a knife wielding perpetrator.

McSleight of hand works magical transformation

AZ Gov. Jan Brewer, working in ever-closer alignment with her McCain cabalian advisors, is shining the light on what she calls “one of the most horrendous crimes against humanity” –  human trafficking. Brewer has formed a task force to combat “a form of modern-day slavery where people profit from the control and exploitation of others.”

Take a look at the names of those appointed to this ludicrous task force. It’s a veritable ‘Wh...

Kirkpatrick, Barber: Will gun control backfire in rural AZ?

Saturday, April 6th, 2013

Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick (CD1) is increasing her vulnerability as the midterm elections approach. Previously ousted by district voters, she was given another bite at the congressional apple after redistricting changed the parameters. Now taking the Obama administration’s hard-line on curtailing gun ownership by way of imposition of increasingly rigid regulations, Kirkpatrick risks alienating rural Arizona voters who comprise solid portions of the First Congressional District. Many rural voters...
