A righteous man stands tall for life

Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the archbishop of Boston, has issued this statement announcing his intention to boycott Boston College’s upcoming commencement ceremony. Enda Kenny, the Prime Minister of Ireland, will be the commencement speaker and is slated to receive an honorary degree at Boston College’s graduation.

Cardinal O’Malley has publicly opposed Ireland’s proposed abortion law, which Kenny has resolutely promoted.

Scandal plagued former Gov. Mark Sanford has reclaimed his congressional post, proving that South Carolina voters prefer a blemished conservative to a liberal. Sanford’s Democrat opponent Elizabeth Colbert Busch, the sister of left-wing comic Stephen Colbert is decidedly in left field herself.

Hell Freezes Over: Bill Maher Assails “Liberal BS” and Defends Christianity

Mawkishly liberal Bill Maher is suddenly showing signs of intelligent life.  Consider first this video clip in which he crushes liberal automaton Barry Levin over differences between Islam and other faiths. Gasping and grasping, Levin invokes “Pam Geller” and “Islamophobia”, two standard liberal incantations meant to support the liberal party line on moral relativism and non-judgmentalism. Maher, as a self-declared “truth lover”, doesn’t stand for it.

Police have announced Boston Marathon murder suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, is in custody. His brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, was killed in a furious attempt to escape police. During a long night of violence Thursday into Friday, the brothers killed MIT police officer Sean Collier, 26, severely wounded another lawman and hurled explosives at police in a car chase and gun battle, in which at least 200 rounds were fired, authorities said. Senate immigration hearings: Déjà vu on steroids

Speaking at the start of today’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on granting amnesty to millions here in the U. S. illegally, Sen. Charles  Grassley (R-Iowa) noted that exactly 30 years ago — April, 19, 1983 — the same committee met to consider similar immigration legislation that claimed to bolster border security and reunite separated families.
