Snowden a Patriot?

Wednesday, June 12th, 2013

I just saw, on the Fox News Radio website, the results of a poll taken by Reuters that shows that more Americans see the security leaker Edward Snowden as a patriot than a traitor. And I must say that, while I understand that his ethics are questionable, that deep in my heart I am cheering him on and hoping that some government grants him asylum.

The most interesting aspect of this incident is how graphically it illustrates the divide between the ruling class and the people. It was the Republica...

Republican leadership complicit in Benghazi cover-up

Thursday, May 16th, 2013

When House Speaker John Boehner can get away with it, he appears to have a strong desire to cooperate with Democrats in Congress. Screwballs and Slurry Singers

Standing up to Obama really works

Sunday, March 10th, 2013

It was a good week for conservatives. After holding firm on the sequester, we had Rand Paul’s gutsy filibuster defending the bill of rights.

We conservatives have been looking for something to cheer for a long time. By blocking any action on the sequester that included raising taxes, John Boehner has finally done that. And look at the results – a steep plummet in Obama’s approval ratings. I wish they would do that more. But I’m not holding my breath. John Boehner is simpl...

How to fix a broken U.S. Government

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

I realize I am no expert on social science, wasn’t even really interested in the subject in college, but as a lowly progressive political blogger, I have become fascinated with our political system and its intricate workings.  Actually, the system isn’t working now and if we don’t fix it soon, this country’s downfall could make the decline and fall of the Roman Empire look like a Sunday school picnic.  We are no longer on the fiscal cliff, or curb as some described the pr...
