Lindsey Graham: Amnesty gets us back in Hispanics’ “good graces”

On Meet the Press Sunday morning, clueless Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told host David Gregory that he favored former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as a 2016 presidential candidate, although he declared no Republican could win unless comprehensive immigration reform was passed because the party was in a “demographic death spiral.”

“I think we’re going to have a political breakthrough, the Congress is g...

When you see it in “La República!”

The Periódico de la República de Arizona’s political writer Dan Nowicki must be angling for a gig at Wikipedia after the lights dim at the newspaper. How else to explain his lead item today, passed along without even a mention of the obvious?

Nowicki details the “split” between Señor Juan McAmnesty and Sheriff Strangelove of Pinal County over the latest plan to open our nation’s border, waste more money, and imperil our national ...

Jose Manuel Martinez, 51, was recently arrested in Yuma, Arizona, after trying to cross the border from Mexico without proper identification. He was then extradited to Alabama, where he was wanted on  first-degree murder charges. It was there the self-described enforcer for a Mexican drug cartel confessed to killing more than 30 people across the United States.

“I’ve killed over 30 people,” he bragged, adding that he began his murder spree when he was 16 years old. Fox News La...

Coulter likens Rubio to “Dr. Death” Kevorkian

Thursday, June 13th, 2013

Ann Coulter is on a roll — calling Marco Rubio the Jack Kevorkian of the Republican Party as she bashed the Gang of 8‘s amnesty bill, saying all the “triggers” in the bill are phony.

“This will be a disaster for the Republican Party. The entire country will become California. And Republicans, maybe they’ll have a few good years, but then it will be over and they will never win another national election. Thank you, Marco Rubio.”

Coulter tells Sean Hannity that  Rubio and Kel...

Jeff Flakes on the border: “This time is different” he vows

National Review Online’s Jonathan Strong uncovers the Jeff Flake Arizonans know well enough to call Jeff McFlake, in acknowledgement of his sycophantic allegiance to his mentor. And like John McCain, Flake has become the darling of the “bi-partisan” crowd. Translated, that means he is more comfortable with Democrats than the Republicans he used to further his career.

In truth, the Libertarian-leaning Flake was never at ease i...

Laurie Roberts cranks out another sappy amnesty saga

Wednesday, June 12th, 2013

Mush gushing columnist Laurie Roberts is earning her salary at the Periódico de la República de Arizona (Arizona Republic). In yet another amnesty sob story, “Dad forced to choose between country, family,” Roberts relates that Brent Miller, an Arizona man who fathered twins with an illegal alien Mexican woman he later married, is having to pack up his life and move to Mexico to be with her and their young sons. As is typical, the tale is such a tear-jerker you’ll need a mega-sized box of...

Pathetic AZ Republic seeks dumbed down readers

AZ República offers to take burdensome task of Googling off your hands

Today we are treated to additional pathetic overtures from the dying Periódico de la República de Arizona  (Arizona Republic).  In yet another bizarre move, the pro-illegal immigration, homosexual promoting newspaper that fills space with oversize photos rather than content, runs this multi-color solicitation atop its front page: “Go deeper with digital. Great reads. Rich databases. Interactive features.”

Scripture distorted to promote amnesty; Dr. James Edwards clarifies truths

Sunday, June 9th, 2013

What better time than Sunday to explore biblical scripture as it relates to the issue of illegal immigration? It was just days ago that the amnesty pushing Periódico de la República de Arizona (Arizona Republic) ran a front page, above-the-fold article titled “Embracing migrants.”  To the newspaper, following the April 2013 AP Stylebook guidelines, the acceptable words are “immigrants,” “undocumented” and “migrants” — ditching the very precise term “illegal immigrant....

NYTimes: “Reckless” Obama has “lost all credibility”

Saturday, June 8th, 2013

Obama‘s “Transparency” pledge a vague memory

“President Obama’s Dragnet” is the title of the recent and harshly critical 2-page editorial in the New York Times — the establishment press’ “newspaper of record” — as it expresses disgust with the Obama administration‘s surveillance operations to collect domestic phone records and Internet communications of American citizens and its extreme efforts to conceal the expansive overreaches. The editorial says “the ad...

US House supports Rule of Law, immigration enforcement

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) includes an LA Times report on Thursday’s GOP vote on a DREAM Act amendment, deceptively loaded onto a key bill to fund the Pentagon and other defense accounts. Passed by 224 to 201, U.S. Rep. Steve King’s (R-Iowa) amendment to HR 2217 prohibits any funding from being used by the Obama administration to implement amnesty by executive decree. Further, it blocks many of the provisions contained ...

Obama shakeup sticks finger in America’s eye

“Spontaneous protest” at embassy was known to be preplanned

Wednesday was a busy day for Barack Hussein Obama.  Determined to reward incompetence and promote far-left extremists, while simultaneously slapping down conservative voices raised in concern,  he has named former UN Ambassador Susan Rice as his top national security adviser. This key post is in gratitude for her repeatedly spewing deceitful tales regarding the murderous attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. She should ha...

Welcome to the GOP, Sen. Elbert Guillory

Wednesday, June 5th, 2013

Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory has had his fill of liberalism and switched parties this past week.  His decision makes Sen. Guillory the first black Republican state senator in Louisiana since Reconstruction.

A Rutgers University educated lawyer, Guillory made his announcement at a luncheon of the @Large Conference, a national gathering of black conservatives. He said he was proud to end his association with “the Party of Disappointment.”

Among those disappointments, he said, are ...

Fox News: “Fair and Balanced” credibility tanks

Amnesty is prevailing view, Fox silences dissent

When it first came on the scene in 1996, Fox News provided a fresh new approach. It billed itself as “Fair and Balanced, sloganing,“ We Report, You Decide.“  The policy was a rousing success and the cable network’s viewership skyrocketed into a global go-to site, far outstripping the alphabet network contenders.

We’ve noticed a decided shift for some time. The leftward tilt is evidenced by the increasing number of liberal commentators...

Aim is to ensure “a new majority” on the ballot

In advance of upcoming election cycles, potential candidates weigh the pros and cons of throwing their hats into the political ring. Considerations run the gamut from the ability to put together an effective organization, raise the necessary funds to get their message out and articulate what that message is. Are their abilities and education levels commensurate with the office being sought?   Have the candidates demonstrated interest in th...

AZ Republic: Medicaid expansion, agenda-driven “news”

Sunday, June 2nd, 2013

The search is on for advocates of Medicaid expansion

At first blush the Sunday article on Dr. Pearl Tang appeared to be a nice puff piece filled with Arizona history, recounting the medical career of the Maricopa County health care pioneer. The 92-year old widow of Judge Thomas Tang was a Shanghai-born immigrant who made great strides in her profession.

The 3-page article/interview with the Paradise Valley resident is replete with five oversized photographs, along with those on one jump p...

Laura Ingraham says Jeff Flake “living up to his last name”

The Daily Caller’s media reporter Jeff Poor, captured conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham’s words on her recent radio show, as she called out a number of Republican senators who voted to support the amnesty bill. Ingraham concluded the segment saying she was thinking about moving to Arizona to primary Sen. Jeff Flake, who is up for re-election in 2018.

Chicago Sun-Times: Another troubled newspaper

Friday, May 31st, 2013

Crain’s Chicago Business reports that the Chicago Sun-Times and its sister suburban papers have eliminated their entire photography staff. As many as 30 employees will be affected. In an indicator of the increasing vulnerability of the print industry, as of last year — 2012 — the Sun-Times was the nation’s 10th largest newspaper in terms of circulation.

The newspaper reportedly plans to use freelancers going forward.

The Sun-Times cited an increasing demand for video and “...

LA Times’ farcical editorial reaches into AZ

Thursday, May 30th, 2013

The liberal LA Times newspaper is obviously no fan of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer. Here at home, conservatives castigate the Republican for what has become a decidedly left-wing bent. Our opposition to her push for Obamaesque Medicaid expansion remains unequivocal.

But in Mexifornia, the Times editorial board rudely hands Brewer her head on a platter for not being liberal enough.  Blatant dishonesty, AP style-book Orwellian Newspeak and name-calling mark the piece. We take her to task when she disa...

Arizona República on sale

Sunday, May 26th, 2013

It’s no secret the conservative hating Periódico de la República de Arizona (Arizona Republic) is in its death throes. We’ve written about its convulsive travails countless times.

Now adding further credibility to its obvious decline, the newspaper is on sale. Okay, not the building itself, but access — as it offers either Monday through Sunday editions including “full access,”  just Wednesday and Sunday editions, also with full access or the digital e-newspaper alone ...
