ICYMI, on Tax Day, Heritage provided a useful chart showing federal spending, by percent, laid out on an image of a dollar bill. As it happens, we at Western Free Press did the same thing last year. Below are the two charts. Notice how entitlement spending is going up (this time, Social Security)? Note that eventually, entitlement spending will crowd out all other spending, consuming all revenue.

Long ago, Americans grew immune to reports of federal spending in the billions and then the trillions. It is almost impossible to shock taxpayers.
Nevertheless, they do pause every year when they pay their income tax and ask where the money goes and why the government keeps asking for more.
The U.S. national debt now stands at $16.8 trillion. That is $148,170 for every American taxpayer; it is $53,230 for every person in America.

New Video: Tough Decisions
For months the White House has maintained that any “balanced approach” to deficit reduction must include entitlement reform.
