Abortionist Gosnell,72, sentenced: Life isn’t long enough

Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist responsible for cutting the spines of babies born alive after botched late term abortions was convicted Monday of three counts of first-degree murder.  A 41-year-old mother also died. Today he was sentenced to two consecutive life terms.

Not nearly long enough.

A high living multi-millionaire, Gosnell was convicted of infanticide, racketeering and more than 200 counts of violating Pennsylvania’s abortion laws by performing third-term abortions...

Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the archbishop of Boston, has issued this statement announcing his intention to boycott Boston College’s upcoming commencement ceremony. Enda Kenny, the Prime Minister of Ireland, will be the commencement speaker and is slated to receive an honorary degree at Boston College’s graduation.

Cardinal O’Malley has publicly opposed Ireland’s proposed abortion law, which Kenny has resolutely promoted.

Kirsten Powers, a self identified liberal, rightly says, “This clearly should be national news. Liberals want government regulation of every single thing — air, water, animals, (inaudible), banks, you name it” — and, she admits, “I put myself in that category. But they have this one little area where they say ‘no government regulation.’ It doesn’t make any sense, and I think we need to examine that....

Gov. Brewer is showing her allegiance to the Obama agenda in various ways — all of them troubling.  We recently wrote about the numerous statewide Legislative Districts and County Executive Committees that have passed resolutions in opposition to the Governor’s Medicaid Expansion (AHCCCS) in support of ObamaCare — which includes expansion of funding for abortion providers. We noted it was an odd step for the pro-life governor.
