Measure Fails to Live Up to Promises

After a full week of consideration in the Senate Judiciary Committee, the so-called comprehensive immigration reform bill is in trouble.

It is not living up to its billing; it is wilting under scrutiny.

Proponents of the bill conducted a full-scale media blitz to promote the measure; opponents countered with questions about the full impact of the bill.
