The Santa Cruz Valley Heritage Alliance invites special interest groups, foodies, and consumers to discuss plans to create a regional food brand in order to better market southern Arizona’s local and heritage food products.
The facilitated meeting will present successful food branding models from across the country, gather community input on how branding may impact buying decisions, begin developing the brand, and discuss logistics for project implementation.
In April, the Alliance held a meeting to garner feedback from the producers and farmers. In May, the meeting was for chefs and restaurateurs to support and connect with the producers.
Now it’s your turn. What words and images resonate with our local producers and farmers? How can our region promote itself food wise?
Come to the meeting on Tuesday, August 10, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the lower level meeting room at the Joel D. Valdez Library, 101 N. Stone Ave., Tucson. This meeting is free and open to the public, but please RSVP by Thursday, August 5 to Vanessa at 520-429-1394 or email vanessa@santacruzheritage.org.
