Farewell to Kenyaby kenya on Jul. 02, 2011, under Life
To our friends following our adventures in Kenya,
I want to thank all of you who have read our blogs, seen our photos, and followed our time in Kenya. This has been an exceptional trip and the efforts of the students went beyond anything I anticipated. During our final meeting, the students shared many words of thanks for what I had done, the work of the many teachers at the schools we worked with, and the staff at Batian’s View. I replied that what we had done was the easy part, that of setting up the opportunity for them to come to Kenya.
The more challenging component to all of this was for them to seize the opportunity and grow from this special experience. This was most definitely the
hard part. As you have read and seen, their hard work paid off handsomely. They have raised the bar for what a group of visitors can accomplish in a short time
in Kenya, and I look forward to creating similar opportunities for future students in the years to come.
Tutaonana marafiki wangu. We will see
each other in the future, my friends.
