WHAT IS EVERYONE MAKING FOR SUPERBOWL SUNDAY?
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012I love football; unfortunately my team the Minnesota Vikings just didn’t cut it again this year! I still like to have a party for Superbowl, not only to watch the game; but it is a chance to try out different munchies
I have a whole array of different items I’m going to serve this year! I will post them daily for you to check out!
I do however like to have something with a little substance on my buffet! I am going to make this great pulled beef sandwich this year for sure! It is easy, just toss everything in the crock pot and cook on low for 10 hours! How easy is that?
CROCKPOT PULLED BBQ BEEF:
Place a 3#-4# beef round roast (I don’t recommend using anything but this as it is very lean)
Then mix together and pour over top:
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. paprika
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. liquid smoke
2 onions chopped
18 oz. bottle of BBQ sauce (rinse out the bottle with a little water)
Cook on low for 10 hours. Then remove roast, pull apart with 2 forks. Skim off any excess fat from sauce and then place roast back in crock pot. Serve on crusty rolls with some pickles on the side!
