Safety First! Women Quietly Join the Rush to Firearm Concealmentby Karl W Hoffman on May. 16, 2013, under Uncategorized
When the Clinton gun ban began to take shape the rush started and by the time the ban was implemented, that administration was responsible for putting more guns in the hands of the public than any other president in the history of the United States. Firearms and ammunition manufactures stepped up production. Magazine manufacturing companies started working crews around the clock to get as many high capacity magazines as they could in the hands of firearm owners so they would be grandfathered in. Gun shops through out the country had empty shelves with long waiting lists for firearms, ammunition and accessories. UPS was literally bogged down with the weight of cases of ammunition and RAC trucking was delivering pallets of bullets to rural areas.
The demand was there but a large percentage of buyers were not what you would think. Yes gun owners were busy topping of their collections, stockpiling ammunition and high capacity magazines, but fence sitters both liberal and conservative began to make the entry into firearm ownership. You see in America the fastest way to create a mass rush for a product is if there will never be any more. Better yet if the government says you can keep what you have but it will be against the law to have any more.
So if one was ever considering owning a firearm it was off to the the gun shop and many many more law-abiding citizens both men and women were prodded into firearm ownership not to mention it would be an exalent investment financialy as well as safety and fun for your family.
After this newly expanded firearm market, with so many more gun owners, the political climate began to change and more people understood firearm ownership and built respect for the shooting sports. Over the next 20 years gun laws began to loosen up coast to coast and the demand for concealed fiream permits was heard by politicians. The majority of states have since created shall issue standards for CCW permits and some have declared that it is a constitutional right to carry a firearm. When the Clinton gun ban expired no politician wanted to touch it because the gun control issues were all but dead and the American people were in control and the firearm indutry was prospering.
The american people have not changed their mind in regards to firearm ownership as the polls clearly show. Even in the face of several horrific incidents in this country it is a boisterous few that have exploited these unfortunate situations in an attempt rekindl the already dead gun control issues.
The fact is, on the American streets these incidents have made people more aware, and I’m talking about the men and women who will not just hide cowering in a corner calling 911 and wait helplessly to be victimized along with their family, but those who will want to take the steps to live safely and securely in a more and more dangerous world.
The same phenomenon is repeating it’s self, but it now has a more gun savvy citizenry who have embraced new rights and freedoms. Gun owners and fence sitters are once again facing gun control zealots and heading to the gun shops across America. The firearm business is booming.
It’s not the stereotype gun owner portrayed by anti gun media or politicians any more but everyday people who are aware of the daily dangers that randomly lurk in the dark corners of our society, that may never happen to you but could.
One of the recant products of crime in America is a new generation of women who are quietly arming themselves. They are the women who see the crime on the street and refuse to be victims of violence or the political agendas. The America women has something very special in the perseverance to overcome all odds and carve out her destiny. She has had a major roll in forming this country and guiding it’s society, at first from the shadows and then from the open arena. She has entered the corporate business world and every job market in the U.S. so protecting herself and her family is natural. Women across this country have been working out and studying martial arts, do you think the American women will really be dissuaded by “Oh guns are scary” ? On the contrary women are heading to the gun shops too, and manufactures are clamoring to supply firearms and design concealment holsters for diverse wardrobes which is rapidly becoming a huge industry.
