The Bathroom Scale; Friend or Foe
by Sonja Rose on Jun. 09, 2010, under HealthComedienne Rita Rudner says she weighs herself every day as part of her weight maintenance plan. She grabs onto the shower bar, then slowly lowers herself onto her bathroom scale until she reaches her desired weight. I love it!

Your Friend: The Bathroom Scale
If there is one thing I do to maintain my weight every day, this is it. I would suggest getting a simple, digital scale, one that weighs within a half-pound. You can also get a fancy body mass index (BMI) scale, but I would save that for the weekends when you have loads of free time to check out amounts of fat, water, muscle and amounts of calories a person of your height/weight should be ingesting.

I used to wonder how those 20-50 pounds had snuck onto my body unbeknownst to me, seemingly overnight. Back in those days, my scale was my foe, and when I’d discovered I had gained weight I would run screaming to the nearest diet place, fork over my credit card to sign up for their program to help me lose the weight that had somehow found it’s way to me.
Stepping on the bathroom scale every day simplifies everything, and helps me manage my weight easily.
