In the new blockbuster video game, Red Dead Redemption,  (PS3 or Xbox 360) ex-outlaw and gunfighter John Marston sometimes makes mistakes and a bounty gets placed on his head; however, he is always given another chance to redeem himself, and start over again.

It reminded me of all the diets I had ever been on in the past, then gained weight back, and had to start over again.  Thank goodness I always kept trying, didn’t give up, then finally figured out how to “live thin,” and have now have maintained a 50-pound weight loss since 2001.

Recently, I visited Tombstone, Ariz., with my 17-year-old son, Mackie.  There I rubbed elbows with gunfighters of the Old West, Wyatt and Morgan Earp, who re-enacted the shootout at the OK Corral with Doc Holliday.  These characters inspired me to keep up the fight, and remember that “living the thin lifestyle” is always worth it.

That day we ate at Big Nose Kate’s Saloon (Doc and Kate were lovers), listened to country western music, and visited with the tourists who flock to Tombstone from all over the country.
No matter where you are in your diet plan, with lots to lose, or almost to your ideal weight, you can do it!  And if you happen to be starting all over again, just remember; No regrets — There’s always another chance at redemption!
