Living Thin: Visualize Your Way Thin

Louise Hay , author of You can Heal Your Life, says to make treasure maps to visualize how you want to look in your future body.

Start by cutting out photos or pictures of girls that are in shape, or in pretty clothes, or in bikinis — whatever you want to look like when you have lost all your weight.   Then, take a posterboard and glue all your photos on there and place it somewhere to inspire you on a regular basis.

Guys, look at mountain climbers, bike riders, weight lifters –

Use a photo to visualize your goal

whatever floats your boat.  Maybe even use a photo of yourself when you were younger, or thinner, to inspire yourself.

The mind is a powerful thing.  It will look at these photos and start doing whatever it has to make you head in that direction.  It will remind you about that photo, so when you want to put something in your mouth that is against reaching your reach your goal, you will remember not to eat it.

On your treasure map, alongside the photos,  place positive verses or sayings that inspire you to reach your goal.  Remind yourself why you are doing this (I want to be thin! I want to wear pretty clothes! I want to get in the best shape of my life, and I want to be healthy!).

Those photos, inspirational verses, whatever works for you — will keep you going during the rough times. If you like, place these pictures on the bathroom  mirror or on your refrigerator — wherever you hang out often enough to see them over and over again.

Your mind will think: Bikinis: Good!  I want to wear a bikini! Your mind will think:  Shorts: I want to wear shorts!  Skinny jeans: I want to wear skinny jeans! And start motivating you to head in that direction.
