Living Thin: Don’t take a vacation from Weight Loss

by on Jul. 26, 2010, under Health

My niece, Cassie Wilson, was on the HCG diet while we vacationed together in San Diego, California.  Dieting on vacation can be even tougher than maintaining a 50-pound weight loss, which is what my plans were for that week.   I used to come home from every vacation having to lose the five pounds I gained while on vacation; now, that doesn’t happen anymore.

Cassie, age 20, dropped over twenty pounds by using HCG(Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) drops, and following the diet plan in the HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide  by Linda Prinster, and wanted to stick to her diet while on this vacation. I asked her about the HCG diet and some dieting vacation tips.

Cassie’s diet tips:

1:  When you eat out, take the bun off your sandwich or burger.

2. If  bread and butter are delivered to your table at the restaurant, just decline and have them take it away.

3.  Order salads and/or vegetables with your meal.

4.  Try to stay at a place like a condo, so you can have control of some of your meals.

5.  Since drinking alcohol is sometimes part of vacationing, watch out for alcohol that has a lot of sugar in it, or, just don’t drink at all.

The HCG diet eliminates most sugars in the diet, and provides drops to place under your tongue several times a day to help process food (about 500 calories a day).  Cassie is an avid label reader now, and keeps sugars to a minimum.  “One of my favorite breakfast is sugar-free Jello pudding mixed with sliced peaches,” says Cassie.  “I was surprised at how many foods I could eat after reading the the HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide.

On vacations like these we stay very active, so there are plenty of things to do besides eat.  Cassie played smash ball and frisbee in  Mission Beach, and rode bikes along the strand.  We took long walks along the beach, and went exploring at low tide in La Jolla, California
One day we spent eleven  hours at SeaWorld, which included lots of walking.
It also helped that Cassie’s mom (my sister), Cheri Wilson, was vacationing with us.  When she originally learned Cassie wanted to lose weight, she jumped on board to help her out and ended up losing over ten pounds in the process.
Cassie and Cheri also split a meal at the Green Flash Restaurant in Pacific Beach, which is a fantastic way to keep calories low and still have fun eating out.
Cheri also helped by making sure Cassie had the right foods to eat when we did the initial shopping for the

week at Ralph’s grocery store, and choosing items she could eat like turkey bacon, eggs, asparagus, peaches, tuna and sugar-free Jello pudding.

Cassie likes to purchase her HCG drops from Platinum Body Performance, and plans to try another one of their products “lipoblast” soon.
Good luck to you, Cassie, and welcome to living the thin lifestyle!
