So how do thin people think?
1) Thin people don’t eat food for emotional reasons.
2) Thin people eat until they are satisifed, not beyond.
3) Thin people think it’s better to look good in clothes than to keep eating past full, or, “nothing tastes as good as thin feels.”
4) Thin people “listen” to their taste buds. As soon as food quits tasting good, they stop eating.
5) Thin people eat to live, they don’t live to eat.
6) Thin people think it’s good to eat light now — so they can have treats later.
I remember the days when I thought a pint of Ben of Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream would actually make me feel better if something was going wrong in my life. Halfway through the pint, I couldn’t taste it anymore — but I wouldn’t stop. Afterwards, I would feel sick, and guilty. The next day, I would show a weight gain on the scale, so it always ended up making me feel worse. These days, I realize that it’s just not worth it! Thin people remember lessons like this, and don’t repeat them.
