Last night I had the munchies, not really hungry, just wanted "something." Tried the "gum trick," chewing a piece of mint gum. It worked! Tasty, satisfying, sugar-free -- and got me over the munchies with very few calories expended. I didn't feel guilty for eating when not hungry, or eating for no good reason.

Tricks you can use:
-When eating a meal, stop half-way through. Consider putting rest away for another meal. Logic: I won't have to cook later. Usually works.
-Before eating anything, wait 20 minutes. Get busy with something else.
-Think you're hungry, fix yourself something low-calorie to drink instead. My favorite is 10 calorie hot chocolate made from a heaping tablespoon of cocoa, 3 pkts. of artificial sweetenen, and a teaspoon of non-dairy creamer mixed in a cup of boiling water.
From Living Cheap & Loving It, tomatoes in the flower bed - on amazon.com
