The rich get richer while average Americans…
Thursday, February 24th, 2011I like to share things I learn from sources across the internet. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is a graph that was included in today’s post from the Time Goes By blog.
The graph is based on data from the Congressional Budget Office regarding average household income from 1979 to 2007.
The graph clearly shows that the rich got richer over the last thirty years while average Americans saw no rise in their household income (after inflation).
How did this happen? Maybe average Americans didn’t work hard enough.
