June 2 on Metromix
Who says there’s nothing to do in Tucson in the summer? OK, we do, but we’re just being grumpy, ‘cos of the heat. There’s plenty around the Old Pueblo, and so we at Metromix offer up:
Movies. That’s where the best a/c is, anyway. In anticipation of “Land of the Lost,” check out our photo gallery of Will Ferrell’s best buffoons – 10 classic characters from “Old School” to “Anchorman.”
Bars. Well, drinking cools us off, too, right? And throughout June, Ventana Canyon’s Cascade Lounge is featuring its tour of classic drinks, 30 Cocktails 30 Days. Every day of the month, the lounge will serve up a different cocktail – the aviation to the white lady – and on its given day, that drink will be half-price.
Events. Cool in another sense of the word is the Summer Art Cruise, which, June 6, sees 13 downtown area galleries holding coordinated art openings. It’s meant as an art walk and, thankfully, starts in the evening.
There’s simply no excuse to hibernate all summer long.

Ventana Canyon’s Michael Scherzberg makes a Singapore sling, one of the highlights of 30 Days 30 Cocktails.
