No Rich, No Jobs, No Disparityby Glen Spendlove on May. 29, 2012, under Uncategorized
So I am driving home in my car today and the folks on National Public Radio (NPR) are trying to convince me that America is not the land of opportunity (that most of us think it is) where people can make their dreams come true, but that title belongs to Canada and Europe.
Wow these guys are great. I mean when we were first hearing about the financial crisis a few years back we were being told that America had failed and the Europe was the wave of the future, and then we heard about how Europe was even worse trouble than us, and lately we have been told not to gloat about the turnaround in America and that we should help bail out Europe, because if we do not the calamity that follows will take us down.
And yet in the mist of failure after failure in Europe we are being told that America should switch over to the European model (but I guess after we have bailed them out).
So the reason why Europe is such a better model (according to the folks at NPR) is because there is less disparity among the rich and the poor.
The great promise of Socialism is to end all disparity, but what they do not tell you is that the only way to keep this promise is by making everybody poor.
