University of Arizona president Peter Likins was discharged from University Medical Center last night, said Katie Riley, UMC’s spokeswoman.

Likins underwent open-heart surgery last Thursday after a pacemaker wire poked through his heart.

Likins, UA’s president for nearly 10 years, is scheduled to retire June 30.

No other information was given, only that the Likinses don’t want to be disturbed so shhhhhhhh …
