Desert Sky Community School, a tuition-free K-4 charter school, presents guest speaker Merrill Badger, whose 24 years of experience as an educator include developing Waldorf and Waldorf-inspired schools throughout Arizona.

The public presentation “What is Waldorf? A Journey Through the Grades” is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the school, 122 N. Craycroft Road. It will provide an overview for those new to the Waldorf approach.

After the talk, visitors may tour the school, enroll students for the upcoming school year and meet members of the Desert Sky community. Information is also available online at www.desertsky communityschool.org or by calling 745-3888.

Desert Sky uses Waldorf methods and plans to grow through the eighth grade. Waldorf methods emphasize teaching appropriate to the child’s developmental level. Educational opportunities include art, music, movement, and Spanish and German starting in first grade.
