Dell has bathed its new line of Inspiron notebooks in such eye-popping colors as Sunshine Yellow, Flamingo Pink, Ruby Red and Spring Green. A colorful Inspiron 1420 with a 14-inch wide-screen display, a gigabyte of memory, an 80GB hard drive, a 1.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an eight-in-one media card slot and four USB ports costs $819. Other configurations include notebooks with a Blu-ray Disc drive and built-in mobile broadband connections for Sprint, Verizon Wireless and AT&T.

The compact 8-megapixel camera also features an audio/video shooting mode, a 3x optical zoom, 32 megabytes of internal memory and anti-shake technology. It will go on sale in August for $300.
