New camcorder can slow down fast action

Samsung's SC-HMX20C high-definition camcorder can record quickly and play back the action in slow motion.
Samsung’s SC-HMX20C high-definition camcorder can see images better than you can. When set on high-speed mode, the camcorder can record 300 frames in 10 seconds of video. When you play back the action in slow motion, the recording allows you to study details of the action – be it a pitch windup or a tennis swing – not normally detectable to the human eye. It costs about $900.
Ergonizer organizes accessories
You can organize your work space with a little help from the Ergonizer. Designed to attach to the side or top of a computer monitor, the Mini Ergonizer features movable holders for a cell phone, key ring, headset, photo, pen, paper and small vase. It costs $49. Another model, the Slimline, also includes a self-stick note board, a dual-port USB hub and a nameplate for $99. With Casio’s Waveceptor analog/digital watch, there’s no need to be afraid of the dark. The watch’s face automatically lights up in the dark, making it easy to check the time when the lights are out. The watch calibrates its time with the U.S. government time via a signal from an atomic transmitter several times a day and can be set to sync with a different time zone when you’re traveling. It also automatically adjusts dates for different calendar months and leap year. Equipped with three daily alarms, a stopwatch and a power-save option, the WVA430J-1A model with a resin band costs $100 while the WVA430DJ-1A model with a stainless steel band is $120.
