TUSD to hold hearing Tuesday on proposed budget

That includes $361.8 million in maintenance and operations, of which about $59 million is the desegregation budget. In addition, there is about $20 million in unrestricted capital and soft capital.
Board members also will consider a resolution asking for a postponement of implementation of state mandates for English language learners; appoint a principal at Menlo Park Elementary and discuss incentives for hiring teachers in hard to fill jobs.
The meeting, in the board conference room at district headquarters, 1010 E. 10th St., will begin at 5:30 p.m., but will go almost immediately into an executive session.
It is expected to reconvene to the public at about 7:15 p.m.
