Streets clear, watch for radar van

Traffic was clear in the Tucson area by 6:50 a.m. Thursday, with no collisions, malfunctioning traffic lights or road hazards to slow early morning commuters.

Motorists are reminded to drive carefully and obey speed limits.


The Tucson police photo radar van will be at the following places and times:

• On West Speedway Boulevard near North Silverbell Road, from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

• On East Limberlost Road between North Campbell and North Mountain Avenues, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• On North Tucson Boulevard between East Third Street and East Speedway Boulevard, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• On North Silverbell Road near West Ironwood Hill Drive, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
