C.A.R.E. fair offers free services for parents, kids

The 20th annual C.A.R.E. Fair will take place at Sunnyside High School, 1725 E. Bilby Road, on July 18 and 19.

The children’s assistance and resource event provides free services for parents and children, including food stamps, school physicals and school supplies. No appointment is needed. The event helps parents and children get ready for school.

For those attending the fair, the following documents will assist in receiving services:

• Immunization records

• Custody, divorce, paternity or child support papers

• Identification, such as a driver’s license, birth certificate or Social Security card

• Proof of home ownership or rental agreement, along with proof of residence

• Proof of income

• Proof of child care expenses

Services are available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 18 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 19.
