Motorcyclist who died after colliding with SUV identified
by David L. Teibel on Jul. 30, 2008, under Local, SpecialA motorcyclist killed when he collided on the Northwest Side Tuesday morning with an SUV has been named by sheriff deputies. He was Charles Sena, 20, said Deputy Dawn Hanke, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
The SUV driver’s name was not released Wednesday.
Hanke said Sena was headed west on Cortaro Road at an estimated 70 to 80 miles per hour about 5:45 a.m.
As the motorcyclist approached Crestwind Road, near Cortaro and Silverbell, Hanke said, a woman driving an SUV began to pull out from Crestview to turn left on Cortaro. Senea hit the front of the SUV.
Sena was wearing a helmet when he collided with the SUV, Hanke said.
He was taken to a hospital where he died about 7:25 a.m., Tuesday Hanke said.
