A motorcyclist killed when he collided on the Northwest Side Tuesday morning with an SUV has been named by sheriff deputies. He was Charles Sena, 20, said Deputy Dawn Hanke, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.

The SUV driver’s name was not released Wednesday.

Hanke said Sena was headed west on Cortaro Road at an estimated 70 to 80 miles per hour about 5:45 a.m.

As the motorcyclist approached Crestwind Road, near Cortaro and Silverbell, Hanke said, a woman driving an SUV began to pull out from Crestview to turn left on Cortaro. Senea hit the front of the SUV.

Sena was wearing a helmet when he collided with the SUV, Hanke said.

He was taken to a hospital where he died about 7:25 a.m., Tuesday Hanke said.
